Painted My Brake Calipers

So, I painted my brake calipers and put a chrome Mercedes Benz decal on it. Now it looks brand new! I also painted the center hub and the dust shield as well. Figured I share the result with you guys. I used VHT High Temp wheel paint in "Graphite". Got it at Auto Zone. Looks really good in person, especially with the flakes in it. I got the chrome decal off some Korean seller on eBay. It was a whole decal pack with a bunch of Mercedes decals. Works great and the details are on point.

BTW, Please excuse my dirty car, it rained all last week

Can you post the link to the decals? I'm been thinking of doing yellow kit on my car

Images aren't showing for me but I'm assuming this was the spray version? If so, how hard was it to prep and apply?

Yeah, it's just the spray paint. Cleaning is easy, I just cleaned it with brake cleaner and wiped it down with alcohol before spraying. I made sure to tape up as much of the rotor as I can before spraying and taped up my shocks area. Then I traped around the wheel well to the paint area to ensure no overspray hits the paint.

Here's the link to the chrome decal. They are nice in person. http://www.ebay.com/itm/High-Quality...-/281310939956

Surprised you didn't go with a color. Most people who bother to repaint calipers usually do.

lol, you should have seen it before, it was freaking teal. I regretted it the moment I painted it. Had to go back to something clean, and the Graphite did the trick for me. It wasn't terrible, but it just didn't do it for me.

Looks good IMO. I like the OEM look or a neutral color for the stock caliper. Im not a big fan of adding color to them to draw attention to a stock part.

LOL I have seen this pic before somewhere in your build thread. The len & lighting kinda hide the teal caliper very well
