H&R Super Sport spring ride quality acceptable?

I just spent the last few hours reading through a mess of back and forth information regarding these springs. Only thing I didn't find was a poll to show some actual data.

Thus lets get one going. For those with SS springs, do you feel the ride quality is acceptable to you?

This obviously is 100% based off personal opinion, so take the results with an open mind. Clearly people's idea of ride quality varies, but if you think that ride quality won't alter from a spring that has a substantial drop then it's likely not for you. This is for people that understand what's to be expected from a spring, and if that was what you expected or not.

Curious to see the results. Maybe as additional beneficial information state your vote, as well as whether this is your first lowered vehicle to determine your past experience level.

Personally, every car I have ever owned has been lowered both coilover, spring on stock, spring on shock, etc. have had everything but a bagged setup. Both high end quality to neutral.

I've been researching this recently as well. I want to drop my car a bit but am really hesitant on what the ride quality will be like after. In your experience, do coilovers make for a stiffer ride in comparison to installing springs with shocks?

Yes, but in a controlled way. Thus it's an acquired taste. The absorption of bumps is sharp which still results in what people would label as a stiffer ride.

The H&R street performance coilovers on our S40 rode well for coilovers, but people not used to them could tell immediately. Had H&R lowering springs on stock shocks for a few months prior and although the ride quality I would say was the same it was obviously sloppier and less controlled due to improper shocks.

Only time I can honestly say that coilovers felt anywhere near stock ride comfort is when stepping up to something in the KW V3 level. My buddies ISF I was possibly going to purchase prior to this vehicle rode unbelievably well. All boils down to fine tuning on those.

I voted yes as I like the ride much better. It all comes down to personal preference as some like a more harsh ride than other.

I'm currently on stock shocks and I am waiting for my bilstein B8 to arrive and I'm sure that'll make it better as they are made for the lowering springs.

I voted No, because I prefer to feel as if I'm riding on a cloud when I drive. I can't stand the harshness of a "Sport" setup in cars.

Finally get to vote!

Emphatic yes. Hardly rides any stiffer than stock sport suspension. Only thing I noticed thus far is over large bumps which is exactly what a progressive spring is supposed to do.

Moderate drop, but have already noticed it's settled right above the tire with about a finger gap. So far very pleased and looks great.

Car is a 2014 with 10k miles so will see how the suspension holds up.

About to pull trigger on regular Sport springs on my 2012 C300. Has just hit 60k miles. Does it bounce alot and feel cheap is concern. I put H&R's on my previous BMW and it was unbearable. So I had to add Bilstein B6's to make it tolerable. Hoping that is not the case with the c300. Any input appreciated!
