Transfer case is making faint sound 60k miles, looks like I'll need to replace entire transmission+case from dealer as my indy's aren't any help. $7k in the hole if thats the problem; getting 3rd word at dealer tomorrow
So any suggestions? Its a frickin 2010 how can they do this.

Otherwise gotta trade it in for a camry yay halp me
Factory ordered and original owner (maybe 2 miles on delivery)
Dealer serviced for the 1st 40k miles and have done self service from 50k onward.
Everything is done by the book with the exception of brake flush (use to do recommended intervals, but now use a tool to read water contamination and replace with DOT 5.1 whenever it reaches 2%)
OEM wheels replaced @25k miles. (Lighter wheels but also .5 inches wider front & 1 inch wider rear)
ECU was tuned at 30k miles performed by OE-Tuning.
OEM tires replaced @ 35k miles. Replaced with Michelin Pilot Super Sports onward.
Dealer serviced transmission @ 70k miles (I didn't want to get messy).
Front lip, diffuser, tint, and various other mods in between.
HOWEVER...with that said...
1st REPAIR to be scheduled in 3.5 weeks (first available appointment) for a windshield replacement due to a crack by a high speed pebble.
...oh and this is a daily driver (but garaged nightly).
No outstanding issues and still rocking the original battery.

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
The re-manufactured transmissions are rebuilt with superseded parts .
much better bearings and enlarged oil passages to keep transfer case bearings happy.
very content with my Mercedes re-manufactured transmission.
30.000 plus miles on replacement with no problem what so ever.

I really love my W204.
built like a tank.

People do this stuff all the time so don't feel bad about dumping the car. If it happened to me I'd do the same.
for 7K you can buy a w203 rwd!, have no issues and still be in a benz! and if you add another 5K you can probably get a RWD manual w204, if you can find one!
i know its in canada but http://www.kijiji.ca/v-cars-trucks/c...ationFlag=true

The process is easy and I never want to deal with a dealership again.

No performance change but thats what they said. I diagnosed it myself before they did.

So kinda expected the tranny, didn't smell anything from centrifuge but leaked a bit past two weeks (kind of rare but started to do it).
Also previous owner cheaped out on 39k tran service and only got 2 replaced tires, hence the right side needing them. Drove amazingly during the winter tho so not a huge deal lolol. Brakes I knew, waiting for winter to be over.

Some people said start a gofund me but i feel like thats a ridic move
#between a rock and a hard place
I bought mine as a graduation gift for myself and drove a $500 Volvo 850 for 5 years insurance was $80 a month, gas was much cheeper, and maintenance was dirt cheep. Just brakes, one set of tires, and oil, buy the time I was done with it I had put 200,000KM on the car. it needed shocks, a full exhaust, tires, brakes and god knows what else. In 5 years of owning it I put $1500 into it and came out with a three year old Mercedes at the time when I bought it.
Personally this is a no brainer to sell it before you have to dump 7K into a car thats worth 15K-18K.
Sorry for the speech but think this through! hahahaha

I called MBUSA and I'll see how much money they can cut out. If the price becomes reasonable I might keep it. Otherwise yeah, I've got some cheapo 2015's in mind since trade in value will be equiavalent/nearish. I'll update when I get the info. Thanks for the advice Marko and everyone else.

Called MBUSA again, they finalized everything...
And they gave me JACK
Such bs
So time to go car shopping.
