Hello,
I just picked up a pre-owned 2012 C250 with Premium and Sport packages. It has everything I wanted except for a back-up/rearview camera. I have been doing lots of research but there seems to be very little info out there on how to do the installation on the 2012 model. My biggest concern would be the wiring (power source, A/V cable, etc.).
If anyone has any experience with this, I would very much appreciate any tips or even better, instructions!
I have zero experience in doing any kind of automotive modifications but am handy and can figure it out with a little help![Wink](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
Thank you,
Ben.

Hi newmbmarko,
I did not pick up a camera yet, was planning on ordering online once I have a recommendation or instructions. I do have Navi in car.
Thanks!

I've been meaning to do this for a while now. I think in the next few days I'll do a complete write up with pictures specifically for us face-lift owners as most of the backup camera DIYs are for the 2008-2011 models. Threads exist for 2012-2014s but you have to read through several pages and threads before you can do the entire installation.

Ok - I've ordered the first 3 items on the list you recommended. As for the 16 gauge black/red wires, how much length do you think I would require?
On a separate note, is there a tool you recommend to help pop off the dashboard panels?
Thanks again, Ben!

Any generic dash/trim removal kit should work. I bought mine from harbor freight but I found this one on eBay. http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item...d=221758296931

Here you'll go. Let me know if it makes sense. I did the install almost a year ago so I had to do this off memory. Luckily I saved the pictures.
