Review: OE Tuning tune for my C300
In addition to tepid acceleration, the transmission is slow to downshift, so I did some research for a solution. With this vehicle the goal is slightly enhanced acceleration and increased responsiveness. Member reviews for the OE Tuning tune led to a phone call with the shop and a lot of help from BJ. I went with the Android loader and had some issues loading the tunes, and BJ went above and beyond to assist me and ensure we found a work around. The car is currently tuned through the MyGenius flash loader on the 93 octane tune.

Impressions:
-Snappier throttle response
-Feels like an additional 10-15whp (as advertised)
-Noticeable gain above 4000/4500rpm
-Quicker transmission response (but still slow compared to a DSG, or even the 7-speed in a G37)
-Shifts at WOT seems to be a tick quicker
-Torque seems to have increased at low rpm? The tq converter still flashes like molasses, so it's hard to tell.
-60 comes up quicker. That I can tell.
Impressions after a few weeks:
-The car feels great. It feels much better than stock. I've driven maybe 300 miles since I added the tune, and it's obvious its adapted well. I also added aFe dry filters, so the combo seems to work well together.
-Downshifts are still slow, but they are 10x better than stock. The car doesn't fall on its face/stutter when you unexpectedly go WOT.
-The pull in the upper rpm range is good. You especially notice it above 5500 all the way to red line. Running it out to the top of 4th feels strong.
-Manually selecting a gear and letting the car upshift from there seems to yield stronger shifts and the car holds gears a little longer. I swear I saw 6300/6400 at the top of 4th before an upshift.
-Midrange torque is better as well. That I can clearly tell now whereas it was a little more ambiguous when I first loaded on the tune.
-I can confirm there is no more factory speed limiter.
-Even with 4 people in my car, and no passengers in his, I pulled on a friend's stock '11 Mini Cooper S 6MT from a stop and a roll. That absolutely shocked me.
Overall, I am very happy with the upgrade. I absolutely recommend it for the price point. Again, I wish there was more I could do to this car, but this tune enhances the driving experience to the point where I don't feel like I'm a slug in traffic that has to plan passing maneuvers. The increased response changes the character of the car moreso than the nice bump in power.
Verdict:
For $595, the tune is a no-brainer. The car now feels like it should've from the factory. Feels good through the top of 4th. I discovered that 5th gear is not exactly a strong pull gear, but the car also weighs 37xxlbs and likely barely makes 200awhp on a Dynojet. No .26 drag coefficient will overcome that.
If you're on the fence, do it. The customer service from OE Tuning is top notch and you'll feel a noticeable change in acceleration and driving characteristics for a very affordable price. If I get the time, I'll stick it on the dyno and get some stock-to-tuned comparisons.
It's a shame there aren't more basic mods for this platform. I'm left wanting more power. Aside from an x-pipe and filters, does anyone have any other suggestions?

If you still have warranty, it must be first proven that a tune caused any issue related with warranty. We have extensive testing over many years and no issues reported. Removing the tune before service is what we recommend if you are concerned about warranty.
