Reputable wheel alignment in the EAST BAY, BAY AREA CA
Hey guys,
So I finally purchased rims and got them put on so of course I am looking to do an alignment. I am hoping any one out there has a place that they could recommend in the bay area (fremont,Hayward, union city area) that is reputable.
I have heard horror stories of people brining there car in with brand new rims only to have them damaged due to the alignment leavings scratches and ***** marks!
thanks in advance

why would you need an alignment when buying new rims? I should add I have 2 other sets of rims now and my car is straight as an arrow with each set that I put on. (I'm looking to sell my OEM set now) I never had an alignment done.

When you install tires on a rim, your rims need to be balanced. As newmbmarko has mentioned, you don't need to perform an alignment on your vehicle when you get new rims installed. If the rims don't get balanced, you will feel like you might need an alignment, as the car will pull in various directions, but if your rims got balanced, you are good to go.

I was always under the impression that it was recommended to do an alignment when new wheels were put on especially if putting on larger wheels. I always thought it would help the tires wear more evenly. but hey if I don't have to that's even better, get to save some money! lol
ill post the pics up when I get home from work!

I'm no expert, but I thought that was primarily for suspension work. Anyway, I think you'll notice for yourself if the car pulls to one side or another. See what happens if you drive on a smooth, level surface and let go of the steering wheel for a couple of seconds. Keep your hands near the steering wheel and you don't need to do it on the highway at 70MPH!

Sonic Motorsports. They take care of a lot of the local aftermarket guys. Auto Innovations is good too. Both use Hunter systems
