Question about seats in my 2013 C250

I recently purchased a used 2013 C250 Sport with very low mileage and I am loving this car but I do have a question and I'm hoping some of you can help me. I can't figure out what the seat material is made of. I tried the VIN lookup for details but it only shows specs, safety equip, etc. Whether or not they are leather or vinyl (MB-TEX?) makes no difference to me, i just want to make sure that I clean and care for them properly which will be hard to do if I cannot determine what material they are. Blue jean dye is already starting to transfer to my Ash seats (and I don't wear jeans often) so any help would be appreciated so I can purchase the appropriate cleaner. I'm brand new so if my post is in the wrong place I apologize. Thanks in advance!

Chances are you have the MB-Tex as very few cars seem to have been ordered with the leather option. If you would post a picture it would be easy to tell.

I had a post a little while back I ended up buying Aerospace 303 but haven't used it I went to the dealer for a quote on some trim and they gave me a car care package free so I'm using there product its been good so far.

I have the Aerospace 303 on the shelf for this summer can't wait to try it out.

Lexol Vinylex seems to be a popular choice. From what I've read this material needs some maintenance in order to not crack or rip over time.

Lexol works great. If it is real bad use with a magic eraser. Will make it look new. I just turned in an 8 year old GL with MB Tex. It was fantastic . No maintenance! Looked brand new

I heard Lexol was a little greasy feeling is this true? and its only for the seats? i was just wondering but i also read online that it make the car have a new car smell again I kinda like that smell hahaha

you can use the aerospace 303 on everything dash, wood, seats even exterior and its like a nice none great new look.

For about a day or so the seats do feel a little different. Supposedly it's not supposed to be greasy but they get a slight slipperiness that goes away. It's nothing like the armor all stuff sold in stores.

It also improves the color and appearance some. My interior is black and I have a faded spot on the passenger door handle. The Lexol makes it vanish and has never looked as faded as it did when I got the car.

A little off topic but I have problems in my seat where some of the fibers are poking through the small holes. I tried pulling one out but it was like a tissue box.

It's not bad now but I worry what it might look like some years from now.

I just get it off of amazon. This is the first I've hear of the aerospace 303.

This thread made me go Lexol my seats today. And yes, they are a tad slippery now. But I wouldn't say they are gross slippery. Leather gets tacky when you condition it but this material gets a little slick.

I go to the gym quite often so I make sure to keep the seats conditioned to protect them from sweat.

Save your money. The only thing you need to clean MB-tex seats is Woolite. Just drop a tablespoon of Woolite laundry detergent in a water bottle filled with water and spray away. That's even what the pros use. Alternatively, you can buy an APC of your choice from Autogeek and use that for cleaning the seats, door plastics, and pretty much everything else in the car (even carpet). You don't need to buy any special "leather" cleaners.

I was going to suggest just a mild soap and water is all that is really needed. Woolite is a good option though since these seats tend to 'absorb' the dye from clothing; wool suits and denim for example.

Do you think the Woolite will bring the blue jean dye up by itself or would you suggest I use a magic eraser first as was recommended above? The dye is not bad at this point but I am rather fussy and I can see a slight haze but you really have to look for it. I would like to get a handle on this before it gets worse.

I'd try something like the Woolite or vinyl cleaner first as magic erasers can be harsh on some surfaces. But it should be fine.
