Headlight won't turn on until 5 secs
Hi guys, just a little question here and wondering anyone has some ideas.
Today I finished shopping and turned my car on, I noticed that my driver side x-non headlight was not on, but after like 5 secs, it was on again. I tried couple of times and the problem cannot be reproduced.
I checked the light bulb connection is good and wondering if something else could cause this kind of issues.
Any ideas are appreciated

Thanks! It only happens once, I guess I can still wait and see? Maybe replace the control unit later cause I heard it will require the front bumper off to get that done

I did change the ballast but the issue still exists... Any other ideas?
The other headlight had the same issue couple of times.
I did change cooler bulbs like half a year ago, maybe this is the reason?
It's kind of pain to change the whole headlight assembly.

Easy enough to diagnose. Swap the bulbs and see if the issue follows.

Yeah, those are $30 a pair...
I did change them back to the 4500k bulbs I had, it's only a day now and it's fine.
I reordered another pair of 8000k bulbs (still just $30, dealer only provide 4500k with $250 each!) coming over next week, I will see how the 4500k performed and if they will last before I switched the 8000k.

Yep. I think I have all the dealer quote of headlight. Whole assembly is over $2000, control unit is $690 somewhere and the bulb is $230-250.
I checked with car-parts, even from the accident car, the assembly is still around 600-800. You can have brand new aftermarket with that.
