Squeaky Accelerator/Gas Pedal?
I know there are other threads about this but I couldn't find an answer in them so I decided to ask again. In my 2012 C300 (less than 30k miles) there is an slight squeak in the accelerator. It seems to be mostly when lifting up off the pedal more than pressing down on it. I've tried to pinpoint where it is coming from and it's definitely the accelerator. It occurs regardless of whether the car is running or not and is heard inside the cabin not outside.
My car isn't under warranty anymore so I'd rather not take it to the dealer if something simple might fix it. I tried some white grease and that didn't seem to help. However I may not be putting it in the right place.
Any ideas?

Are you sure it isn't your shoes? I find that when I wear sneakers (trainers) that have synthetic rubber soles, if the shoes are wet, then I get a squeak when I move my foot on the brake pedal. Just a thought. . .
Otherwise, have you tried spraying WD-40 onto the moving parts of the pedal mechanism? Usually this stuff will not harm electronics, and it is a much thinner lubricant, so it will often penetrate between parts where you cannot force the grease.

WD-40 is not a lubricant, it's more of a solvent and a dissolver. It looks and acts like a lubricant when you first squirt it, but that quickly fades.
Stick to your white grease and keep looking for the source of the noise. You might have to take out the pedal to really get in there, but you won't have to do it again for as long as you own the car.

Mine is doing the same thing when it gets cold outside. It stops after the temp inside the car goes up. I still have a year left on my CPO warranty, but I'm gonna take the pedal off tomorrow and lube it up myself cause unless I leave the car with the dealer overnight on a cold night, they'll come back and say couldn't replicate it.

I have 2012 C250 and seem to be running into a similar problem: my gas pedal seems to make a weird squeaking (not a creaking noise) when releasing from the accelerator. It seems like this squeaking happens when its cold and seems to fade after the car warms up a bit. Similar to OP, I think it's definitely coming from the accelerator however, unlike to OP, it does not squeak when the car is off.
Would silicone spray help with this? I don't want to bring it back to the dealer for (a) a potential 'cannot recreate' and (b) an arm and a leg.

just take out the accelerator assembly. It is held down by two fasteners (i think 10mm) then the connector. Then further disassemble it and lube it.

ok, the squeaky noise is driving me nuts so I was finally able to fix it after 20 minutes. Here is how I fix mine and I hope that it'll help with your similar Mercedes pedal known issue. If you find this helpful, please comment or email me at dosan76 at ekrisman.com with your feedback.
When I found my source of the squeaky sound, I use silicon spray to spray both the metal wire and the round attachment. Now it's as good as new.
Use 10mm wrench to open the 2 bolts
The whole pedal unit will come off after you disconnect the electronic drive by wire
use the star screwdriver to open the pedal box
You will find the source of the squeaky sound, I use silicon spray to spray the highlighted yellow area, the wire and the inside. The inside is the source of the squeaky sound for mine but I pretty much silicon spray and wipe out excess on all the joints. Now it's as good as new.

Q. How did you get the cover off? It's still being held on by some kind of pin,

Mine had a plastic pin on the accelerator box, I just used a flat screwdriver on the side of the panel and minimal force and the cover will come off, after removing the 4 torx bolts (which are longer than you might expect).
You can see this small pin midpoint on the box, in Dosan's helpful photos, on the left side of the accelerator box.
This squeaking sound was driving me crazy. I sure hope this is the fix. No squeaking when actuating the pedal now, but going to re-install everything after lunch (gotta have priorities).

Disassembly is a bit overkill, you can lubricate it in the vehicle with a fine needle type precision oilier pen and a few drops of Krytox GPL-105 oil, same as you would use on the sunroof.

Cleaned it up. Then did a little research on drive by wire / electronic throttle.
The best part is it all works great now. Smooth and no squeaks! What an improvement. Thanks everyone.

The accelerator pedal is a super fancy contactless sensor. Nothing important for safety can wear.
This pedal sensor and throttle body are both super well scrutinized by ECU with a dual-circuit for perfect operation. They can't act flaky without ECU quickly flagging a fault.
MB used its magic evaporating lubricant very sparingly. After a while the large spring takes it's toll on the plastics...
I lubed my pedal innards using my favorite high-temp brake silicon lube, a couple years ago already. It's a child play assembly.
My primary interest there was to check/fix solderless electronic. The active part can not be opened, I'll call it solid state.
