2013 C 300 4Matic Sport 44k miles worth buying?
I have been a big fan of the C class and my lease on the 2013 C 300 4 Matic just ended. I have drive about 44k and I have decided to buy this car. The good news is I managed to negotiate about $10,000 of the Original Residual value and I was able to accomplish this only because I have a great relationship with the dealer and I have helped them sell/lease about 17 cars in the last several years through me and in good will/ recognition of Loyalty they are selling me this vehicle at internal cost. However I have always leased cars hence the maintenance/repairs never was a concern, now that I have decided to buy the car i have to factor in the costs of repair/ maintenance. Furthermore I am associated with a local Mercedes shop that is located in Vienna VA called Silver Star motors. The shop has been around for 20 yrs and they only service MB's the owner/master mechanic is a first generation German and he is very good at what he does and when I asked for an opinion he strongly recommends I buy the car and he also stated to me to not to buy the extended warranty.
His reasons for being so upbeat about the potential purchase is that since 2013/14 was the last model year of this particular body style and the last of the V6 engines MB had done all the updates and he recons it is a solid buy given the price point.
Can anyone shine light on this it would be nice to hear from other C300 4 Matic Sport owners, Hope to hear from you all soon.
Thanks
Thank you so much for your input. My mechanic says to save the money from the extended warranty but I am thinking of getting one just in case. So far the cost of repairs seems reasonable with my mechanic Silver Star Motors in Vienna Virginia for example his price quote ($350) for a Tran mission Service which most dealers and independent shops only do the transmission flush at 40k miles charge close to ($750). I am hoping to keep the car till it takes its last breath. Any input when you may need to replace brakes? mine are running on the original installation when I leased the car new back in 13 I have about 44K on them. Recent quotes would be nice to compare. Thanks

Personally, I would stick to RWD unless you live in an area where AWD is an absolute must.

a lesson learned from my situation was the symptoms of the transfer case going on you. Makes a distinct whine
