I have dash cam on the center up front window to the cigaret lighter outlet, you can just stick the wire between the trim and window and just work through under the glovebox without removing anything trim.. holds fine and i dont see the wire.

Remove plastic airbag label. Once off . Metal tab inside. Push-up. Then take hold of trim and pull up from dash and out towards you.
There's no messing with the airbag when you remove the pillar trim, it's just a cover over the airbag. Just remove as mentioned above, no need to disconnect the battery.
