Deciding on a resonator delete w/ muffler delete

I currently have had my w204 C300 2010 with its mufflers deleted for almost a year. Sound is honestly great and very surprising for this car's V6. I do not really feel ricey at all, because even people with heavily modified cars at my my college thought I had a full custom exhaust.

Strongly thinking about getting and X-Pipe in replace of the resonator as well. Is this a good idea or is it honestly too loud because I feel as if it gets much quieter after warming up with just a muffler delete?

I want the car to just be more aggressive sounding in the hiring RPM band. I feel as if 4-6k should be even more pronounced, and I truly am wondering if an x-Pipe with the muffler delete with simply get me pulled over every day in MA, or if it honestly is not as big of a deal as people make.

I CANNOT imagine an x-pipe + muffler delete being as loud as say, a modified V8 exhaust.

EDIT:

Since I haven't posted in the picture forum yet, here is a not so great pic of my baby with her 19in Niche Essen M147's

While I personally do not agree with the X-pipe idea overall, I do however believe you should mod your car to what you want regardless of the forum. Exhaust sound is subjective, just expect not everyone is going to like it.

I completely agree with your statements. However, do you have any insight as to whether or not you think the Muffler delete + X-Pipe will be honestly overbearing, even if someone loves a LOUD car?

If you love the drone go for it, although I am not the proper demographic to ask. Also expect your X-pipe to be covered in rust within a year.

Isn't their any X-Pipe brand's that are made of high quality and will NOT rust? I have heard of this before. As far as drone goes, it doesn't really bother me as drone on the highway with just the muffler deletes is pretty BALLER :p

Maybe that drone isn't so "baller" to others in cars around you and people in your neighborhood.

Really appreciate the "warm welcome... I don't see why you would bash someone for modifying their car to their liking. Anyways, many people have muffler deletes and resonator deletes on this forum, so i wish i got some feedback from someone that approves.

I don't see a sexy roaring v6 as obnoxious.

How about adding it with already having the muffler though? Too loud? Is that what you have or do you have a muffler delete + x-pipe?

Not meant to bash. Just something to think about. I have nothing against exhaust modifications in general and you are absolutely right you can do whatever you want to your car. As much as I love my car I can't say I ever considered the engine particularly sexy.

Maybe its because this is my first car Anyway I wish some more people who have the straight pipe would comment on its overall loudness compared to other vehicles, but I think I am going to leave it as just a muffler delete until I finish the exhaust with a quad tip conversion.

I appreciate the feedback regardless!

I have both deleted, and I love the sound. Granted I have a 2014 so its the 3.5l vs. your 3.0l.

HOLY **** that sounds orgasmic!

Does it get quieter as the car warms up and does it ever lose the rasp? I love it and hope it stays that way even after the engine warms. On my muffler delete after the car warms up it definitely gets a LOT quieter.

It definitely gets less raspy and loud after warmup, but the car is definitely loud even after warmup. I'll have to get another video for you sometime.

I would really appreciate it that! Also while on the topic, where did you order your E63 AMG squared tips and diffuser? I am trying to go for the same look.

Diffuser was ebay, and the E63 tips I bought off a member here on MBWorld.

Thanks so much! In the market for both of those items by the end of the summer, hopefully wanting to get some quality carbon fiber that isn't going to show wear over time.

They almost all do because of the gel coat clearcoat that is used. Just keep them polished, waxed, and sealed.

Maybe keeping resonator and just deleting 2nd cats? I really dont like xpipe due to raspiness it gives me. Plus, if you delete resonator the drone will be louder, 2nd cats dont play a big role in the drone. 2nd cats delete sounds louder then just resonator delete with xpipe. I think i saw you on comm ave BU area once. Your wheels got my attention.

Back pressure and exhaust flow .... I would probably do 2.5" cause that's what stock exhaust is (I think) and you won't have to have a piece going from 2.5" to 3" four times

Correct me if I'm mistaken, but there would be more pressure with the 2.5in piping?

Your welder will have to flare down all 4 exits on a 3". It will cost you more, and take more time to install. Just get the 2.5" considering our exhausts are 2.5" stock.
