I have a 2013 C220 Sport + with the itelligent light system. Im new to the car but when driving at night I constantly get flashed or have people turning om their rear fog lamps thinking I have my main beam on when i havent. I must admit the drivers side lamp does seem to shine right in the cabin of the car in front. The top of the beam seems to be level with the rear view mirror of the car ahead. Anyone else had this problem?
ILS is kind of rare on the C-Class so there isn't usually much posted on here except people upset that they find a car with it or retrofit it without spending many thousands.
It sounds like it could be misaligned or stuck. The drivers side should cut off lower than the passenger side. Both about around the level of the trunk of the car in front of you.

Are you sure you have the OEM ILS and not depo with faulty or stuck high beam mechanism? Anytime I start the engine inside the garage, the headlight performs the auto alignment, up, down, out and in. Does your headlight do the same when it's dark?
Also, W204 ILS package comes standard with headlamp washer determined by the cutout on each side of the front bumper (see pic). If there isn't, you have aftermarket Depo Headlights. There's a handful of threads about W204 Depo Headlights in this forum which might help you address your issue.
Else, wait till it's dark and toggle between low and high beam. Observe if the beam cutoff pattern go up and down. If all is good, reference the below headlight alignment. Good Luck!

Hm.. I have the 2014 C300 sedan, but it came with ILS without the washer.
However, I know I have the genuine ILS.
Maybe the washer was an option?

In my previous reply to your reply, I have mentioned I have the 2014 MY, and was curious to find out why washers are not there, but your reply suggested that I don't have the genuine ILS.
Well, I wanted to correct the fact that lighting package on 2014 MY came without the washer.
And yes, OP's car is 2013.

code 622 would be Intellegiant Lighting System ILS. IN THE US, we did not have the ILS option available, only BiXenon with active curve light

I have retrofitted the OEM Intellegiant Lighting System (code 622) into my 2013 C350 coupe. Probably the most time consuming and expensive mod to my car. Also, it was difficult to find someone to enter the codes into VEDOC at Mercedes Benz

I have a 2012 with 615 (and 600) that I ordered with what was called at that time the "lighting package" and have always assumed, incorrectly it seems, that this was ILS. My owners manual says I have adaptive highbeam assist, active light function, and cornering light function. So what is missing? Smart fog lights?

I am in US and my 2013 W204 headlamp has the embossed lettering on it that says "Intelligent Light System" (see pics below). Does this mean I don't have the ILS option as offered in US?

/\ ditto.... anxious to know and learn more about this as well. What I think is missing on my ILS is the capability to automatically switch to high beam and blind the incoming high beamers! TIA
Edit: My search for SA Code 622 yield the below youtube video. Audio is in German and description is in English. I have the same headlight switch as shown but still ...I'm lost!
