BC Coilovers Question
Dear MBWorld,
Although I am honestly not in the market for this for now, I have been doing research on suspension mods for my 2010 C300 Sport 4-Matic. I am a little uneager for the H&R Sport or Super Sport Springs, due to people saying it will wear my struts down much quicker. I have stumbled across these:
https://bcracingcoilovers.com/produc...lovers-br-type
and I was wondering if this actually fits my car. I am running Niche Essen M147 19's all the way around.
Thank you,
Does anyone just recommend the sport springs as well? What are people experiences with them and do you think that it could work with my rims?

According to BC's web site it should.
https://www.bcracingpower.com/produc...lovers-j-02-br
Although their part number is different from the one you pasted the link to.

People feel that springs wear out struts faster but that is not necessarily true. It really depends on how many miles you have on the struts before switching. Struts will break in a section of the rod that it normally travels up and down on. If they are relatively new then new springs won't make them last any different. If they have a lot of miles on them and then you change the springs they will ride in a different area and can cause the seals to leak sooner. Springs will almost always ride better than coil-overs, but BC makes a great product.

Lowering spring height is based on brand. Coilover lets you adjust height. Springs will affect OEM shocks over-time as shocks wasn't designed to handle the more compressed rate (also depends on driving habit and condition).
BC Racing BR type is pretty good, no complaints among my customers or friends running BC.

I appreciate all the comments! I wish I knew if these coils would fit my car. I really love the idea of being able to adjust the height, and go SUPER-LOW in the summer, and then raise it in the winter.

If you can gush out the money for coilovers, I say go for them instead of springs. And don't be fooled by their site saying they are on sale from 1200+, the price has been like that since summer lol Not just the ride height is adjustable, damping is also adjustable to your taste. Make it stiff or soften the ride. Springs will wear your stock shocks quicker due to the different compression ratio of sports springs and stock shocks...if you don't drive a lot, springs might save you money but on the long run, coils come with their own shocks, they might be better.
Also, on labor, it's a bit expensive for both, about $300-350 for springs and idk about coils installation. However, if you have access to the Lift and the air gun to open "heavy-load" bolts, you can easily do it yourself. It all comes down to how much you want to spend, IMO, coils are better or bagggggggg ittttttt lol
I have Megan Racing coils, yea cheaper than BC lol, and I'm pretty happy with them. Only had been a few months I've had em on, btw I have W211 E. Just saw this thread and had to pitch in lol
