Unhappy Broken Alloy Rim. Repairable?

So I slid on some snow this morning and hit a curb/snow bank. No damage to the body of the car but my right front rim took a hit. a piece of the Allow rim broke off. Im curious if this is something you think is repairable or is it clear that i have to buy a new rim. Also given the picture do you think I can drive the 10 miles to my body shop?

No visible air pressure lose but I haven't driven on it yet.

-Thanks

Sorry buddy, not fixable. Check ebay and hubcap haven for genuine used Mercedes rims. Hopefully you can find a nice match for a reasonable price. Do you mind posting a picture of the entire wheel. Just want see which rim you have.

I wouldn't take a chance driving on it, especially in the snow, The problem is it could be holding right now, but one turn or one bump and it lets go and then it could be a lot worse than hitting just a curb. Look at it this way: you slid and hit a curb when you had four good wheels and tires. Now you are going to try and drive it with one wheel that is going to let go at some point. And even if you wouldn't damage your car, you probably would ruin a good tire. That would run you more than a tow to the mechanic.

hell no lol.... go to car-part.com and buy one rim. I'm sure they have them in stock for about $100 a pop.

Thanks for the fast replies everyone, I ended up getting the car to my local body shop. They said the same thing - not repairable . Know its a matter of finding a used replacement but thankfully the tire is in good shape.

Here is a picture of the full rim @qmciver: thank you.

Geezus! It looks even worse from that angle. Hard to believe that would hold air at all. Double check the tire as well to make sure you don't see any bulging on the sidewell anywhere. That was quite a hit.

If they can fix that anything is possible, but I wouldn't risk it, properly repairing it would cost almost as much as a new rim and you will always had the risk of it failing again, not wroth it imo.

Yup! @Alfadude i was just as shocked. The folks at the shop said the tire looks good but they'll know more once they get it off - fingers crossed.
