Maybe in the summer start a new project to retrofit a morimoto h1 inside my headlights with a new shroud similar to the original oem style cone.
if you look at sides when driving you can see lots of reflections from the "chrome". It's almost like the current projector is too far back in the shroud and the flat square shape is blocking some of the light.
...or maybe upgrade oem lights with morimoto h1s and insert the neon bar under the current eyelids. Lolo.
Low beams aren't fantastic, but they're not totally sh*t. I think I might just fit an HID kit and be done with it.
High beams exceeded my expectations tbh. Not that bad at all.
I agree it's not terrible and could be the bulb or just needs a proper alignment. Sometimes I get bored and need to experiment. I've never retrofitted a headlight before.

Out of curiosity, what are those four boxes with the wire sticking out. Is that for the Canbus system so it doesn't throw an error? Planning on getting these. Where did you guys mount them and can you post a pic? Thanks.

Hey guys, about to purchase these for my red W204. Anyone have a pic of a red one with these headlights? Thinking about going with the black. Also, the white neon tube inside...anyone attempted to have solely this light come on as a DRL when the car is cranked? Seems like I’ll have to always turn on my parking lights to have them on during the day.
Also, anyone attempted at changing out the stock lens that comes with these to a better one like the Morimoto minis? Would love to see some cutoff line pics if so!
I purchased these lights and tried to install them today. The high beam, neon tube, and turn signals all work, but nothing from the low beam. Has anyone else encountered this problem? I tried both headlight assemblies land several different bulbs and it doesn't power on. I plugged the bulbs into the high beam to check and they work fine there.
I recently purchased H11 LED bulbs for my Mercedes with the same upgraded headlights. I have had a problem though, the LED headlights turn on and off (on for 5-10 sec off for 1-2 sec) ONLY when driving. Do you guys by any chance know if I need other bulbs more ballasts or anything that I am missing ? Could it be that there is some loose connections ?
I know this is an old thread. Was looking to see if any long time users of these Spec D lights have the same issue I'm seeing. Ive got them hooked up but getting random check parking light notifications on the dash.
Used one of my spare resistors and fixed the issue.
For now I've swapped the iffy resistor that was hooked up to the parking light with turn signal resistor that the SpecD headlights came with. No more error. For now I'm up and running and will ask them for a replacement.
Was able to get the Spec D halogen set to work with my C63 that came with factory HID via a custom adapter so I don't have to cut into the factory wiring. Yay AliExpress and online wiring diagrams. I know its technically a "downgrade" from the factory Xenon HID but I need to replace the lens in one of the lights and figured this will tied me over. Upgraded the H11 that came with them to a set of Philips Diamond Vision to match the foglights. Bright enough and close to HID color.
