EBD, ABS, ESC Warning Light, how to fix?

Had the warning lights (Brake) EBD, ABS and ESC Inoperative, show up on my instrument cluster, ran the diagnostic and pulled some codes. Is it possible to be another issue besides replacing the abs module? I check the battery voltage of the car while off, 12.25V and brake lights are working, so I assume it's not the brake light switch. I read something about resetting the steering angle sensor by turning the wheel all the way 5 times, did that. Also, where can the abs module besides the dealer and I saw a bunch on eBay, be purchased? Vehicle is a 2011 C300 4 Matic Luxury, 69,000 miles

Did you figure out what the issue was? I have the same codes and replacing the battery didn’t solve it.

So after 4-5 days the message went away on its own and hasn't been backs since. I did unplug the abs module cable a few times when the issue first happened, not sure if this has anything to do with it.

Dynamic Control Module

Hope this helps someone as many with this same failure have tried various things to correct it. For my 2010 C300 the warning lights would come on after driving about 5 miles per hour. Took it to a decent Indy shop and they diagnosed a 5001 code related to EBS/ESC module. The electronic component (and not the hydraulic portion) needed to be replaced.

Apparently this happens a lot as the local MB dealer had 3 in stock (for a 9 year old car...) they wanted $950 for it. The indy found a local salvage shop that had 3 C300s same year and found a part that closely matched the serial #. The used part was $215 and he charged me $100 to install it (and program it??). Said it did not need to be “coded “ to the car.

Seems that an aging battery can also trigger these codes/faults, so check that too, but in my case it was the module that failed.

Benz C 300 4Matic ABS EBD warning light

After trying a few suggestions I took my car into Warranty Auto and was told that I had to replace both front bearings. So as I dont have the tool etc., I settled for $800 +tax. They guaranty that this will fix the problem as the sensors cannot read the information from the rotation of the bearing. If this helps please let me know or t I've been taken for $800 plus tax. Good luck...

if the scanner show "left or right wheel speed sensor" (mechanical error);
then you should replace your front wheel bearing and I think you don't need to replace the entire hub you need only the
ABS ring

Thanks Mohd Saadi, you were right. Did have to replace both front bearings and sensors. Fixed the problem and everything works good. Including the Cruise Control and run flat indicator light. Appreciate your advice. Gerard
