2009 C350 Gas Fumes - Help Needed
I suddenly started getting gas fumes from the engine bay. No CEL, Ran OBII scan. Nothing.
The spark plugs are 10,000 miles overdo but I doubt that would cause it. Car has 110,000 miles.
The fuel filter has not been replaced to my knowledge.
Is this typically the Crankcase Gasket, Fuel Filter, Or Line Leak?

Quick Update: Went on a lengthy highway drive. I hit speeds of 90 for 5 mins to see if that would help.
It's now cleared up and the car feels more responsive.
BUT, there are still some fuel smells.
Anyone? Bueller?

UPDATE
Replaced the fuel injection hose and the smell of gas in the engine bay is gone.
I have a 122k on the car and I smell gas when exciting the car.
When I took off the fuel injection hose not much fuel came out. Even though I opened the gas tank to decompress, I was expecting more fuel. Very little came out.
Q1. is that normal?
Q2. Does the sending unit tend to go after 100k?
