Question Facelift Steering Wheel Peeling Fixable by Painting?

Just wondering if anyone has attempted to fix the peeling or this issue going to resurface?

I presume it's possible to lightly sand, prime, and paint match? Mine is underneath the right side buttons.

The bezel trim is $61 on easy which is a bargain. Thoughts?

I just replaced the bezel (along with the peeling buttons on both sides). Ten minute task at the most and much less time and hassle than sanding, priming, and paint matching. I did notice a small difference in the new bezel. The edges now seem to be rolled under which may prevent peeling in the future.

Thanks For the input. Any chance you have a part number?

Did you use any cleaning agents on it?

How Long does it last before it peels? I'm gonna buy some heat paint and blend the corner since it's so small.

I think they are just made poorly, you can buy some nice carbon fibre ones that will probably last longer, I'm on number 2 in 7 years. I'm picky it's just bubbling up on the top it's not peeling off like yours.

I only clean my car with Aerospace 303, it's fine to clean everything with that stuff.

It's just poor design.....and annoying to look at lol
