Wiper and washer fluid not working

This morning I turned on the wiper but no response. I pressed the washer fluid button but no response.
I drover the car to work anyway, the same stock switch works for high beam and turn signals.
I'm hoping it's a fuse.
Does anyone know the location and fuse number for the wiper and washer fluid?
Any other suggestion is highly appreciated.

I have a 2013 C250.

There should be a map with fuse # and what it is for. I remember it is in the trunk where the emergency kit is kept in my 2011.

I found the trunk location but there's no diagram or my manual does not have any diagram to tell me which is the wiper fuse.

Okay. When I get off work I will try to find in my fuse map which is for the wiper. Hope 2011 fuse is the same as your 2013.

I feel bad that I misplaced the fuse map, nowhere to be found at the moment. I used the map when I installed backup camera.
Before I go to dealer for a service, I always take everything out and put things back afterwards. Easy to lose things that way.
I will keep looking.

I managed to find the diagram online.
I checked wiper, fluid reservoir motor and rain sensor fuse, #10 and #13 in the engine bay and they turned out ok.
I also tested the reservoir connector for power and it shows 12 volts with car turned off and pressing the button.
So, I'm not sure what could be the issue.
If I knew for sure it's the steering column switch I would replace it but just don't wanna throw money at it.

I found the map in my thick C-Class file pile.
Yes, it says fuse #10 and #13 are for Windshield wipers, front.
However, #13 shows up multiple places either alone or with other fuses, very confusing to me:

ABS/ASR/BAS/ESP, #1, 6, 13, 14, 16, 20, 21
Fanfare horn, #13, 31a, 31b
Headlamp flasher, #13
Multi-function steering wheel, #13
Rear window washer system, #13, 38
Steering wheel adjustment, #13, 62
Switch illumination, #2, 3, 12, 13, 16, 17, 18, 26, 39, 41
Turn signal lamps, #2, 13, 41
Windshield washer pump, #13
Windshield wiper, rear, #13, 38

I am lost.

Did you hear washer pump operating sound when you pushed the button, or nothing at all?

No sound of washer pump but it got 12+ volts when the car is off.
I called the dealership and they charge $165.00 for diagnostic. I will go that route. If the wiper motor, fluid motor or the actual switch is bad, I will do the work myself.

“car is off", is the key on first notch or or the key is out?
I just tried my car. when key is turned to first notch, pushing the switch will turn on the washer pump and windshield wipers.

With the car off, on or key in the 1st notch, no sound from washer pump or no wiper movement.
I don't know if the wiper motor is bad does the automatically shuts off the pump or not.

I assume you have also tried key on 2nd notch (on) as well as when you are driving?

I'd think you can try this. With the reservoir connector unplugged, test the pins on the reservoir with meter set for resistance. When the washer switch is pushed, the resistance should be some thing other than open circuit.

I took the car to my indy European shop, it's not the fuse.
He needs more time, it could be the motor, relay, SAM.
I will need to drop off the car for a day or two.

Hi, I have exactly the same issues. Has this issue been resolved? Could you share what was the problem?

Yes, it was my wiper motor. I had to buy the entire wiper motor/transmission assembly.
I replaced it myself., I would say if you have the right tools it was not that bad of a DIY job.
Something like this

Just to be clear, I had a shop confirmed that the motor was bad. Because it could be anything with electronics. I paid, I think about $75.00, to diagnose first. I knew I could tackle the task if I knew exactly what needed replacing.

Check the bonnet

This happened to me. If the bonnet isn't closed properly the sensor will stop the wipers and fluid to save any damage.

Yes, if the hood is not properly latched the wiper or fluid wouldn't work.

Appreciate this remark, and luckily this was also the simple root cause in my scenario.

With the bonnet open, I was reinstalling the wipers and couldn’t initially figure out why the wipers and fluid spray stopped working all of the sudden. Turns out the MB engineers were just thinking one step ahead!

Anecdotally too...went for annual State Inspection, inspector popped hood latch in anticipation of checking engine size when he told me wipers were not working, so "no need to continue" until I showed what the reason was. He was then miffed a bit since, when he was fumbling initially for the hood release, I went to point out its position and he indignantly assured me he knew where it was (C300).

That should be a good indication of the quality of the inspection. A 9 year old with an iPad would have done better. Unless you are required to use state run inspection stations in your area, you should go elsewhere next year.
