My VIN info WDDGF5EB8AR125402, I've called two MBZ dealers and asked if I had w/ Active Road Stabilization (ARS) & Vehicle Dynamics Package (Code 483). One said yes and one said no??????? I have the Sport Model. I need to replace my strut and upper strut mount, horrible knocking noises. People sell upper strut mounts with and without Active Road Stabilization (ARS) & Vehicle Dynamics Package (Code 483)

You need the part without the ARS/VDP 483 code. Your code is 486 which is just the standard sport suspension.

What is "Active Road Stabilization (ARS) & Vehicle Dynamics Package (Code 483)"? Is that the product name for the electrically-selectable shock settings (Comfort/Sport)

How do you know I dont have code 483 but have code 486? Makes it easier to find upper strut mounts without the code 483.

Recommend any place to buy upper strut mount, front strut, and bearing?

Perhaps the person who replied to your post looked up the VIN that you provided and saw the option codes

Lemforder is the OE supplier IIRC. But BIlstein is a reputable brand. I would stick with Lemforder but you should be fine either way.
