Correction. My code was P0178.

Turned out to be water collecting in my driver’s side floorboard after days of rain. The water migrated into the connector of the wires going to the flex fuel sensor. My scanner said the sensor was shorting to ground. When I disconnected the connector, water came out. I blew everything out with compressed air and reconnected everything. I cleared the codes and it didn’t come back. I will post some pics soon.

A few years ago, while tackling corrosion on electrical connectors, I liberally sprayed everything with DeoxIT. Excellent product. It removes all the surface oxidation and coats the contact surfaces with a thin layer of conductive material. You might want to pick up some and treat your connectors.

@JettaRed How did you identify the flex fuel sensor? There was no corrosion anywhere in the connector blocks? My carpet got soaked 2 months ago (then I cleaned my sunroof drains) now I'm getting the
P 0178 code, plus P062B - Internal Control Module Fuel Injector Control Performance. I hope it's just a matter of details of the wires but I'm worried I may have to replace the connector blocks and modules themselves. I just saw your post and haven't taken out the floorboards yet to see.

Can you post pictures of the connectors you had to dry out?

Nothing to add, only that DeoxIT is some of the best contact cleaners I've ever used. Absolutely love the stuff.
