C300 w204 won’t go into gear revs but doesnt Move
I want to buy owner say it was leaking. But he’s not car savvy could be engine oil. 140k should I just check fluid level then add if necessary?

please elaborate. what fluid is leaking? check what fluid level?

the cars not going to any gear?

yea lots of typos sorry car runs but doesn’t go into gear so maybe what I want to know is the shifter electronic and would the car not engage on to gear if fluid is low if so is the trans burnt out?

I don’t know much about the shifter but since there isnt a dip stick for the transmission fluid, you wouldnt know your answer until taking it to the mechanic. Any codes on the car?

no the car won’t go into gear the guys not a mechanic so I’m not sure. How can I put fluid in trans is it from the bottom or can I add some from the top

no engine light ..can check the codes and see if it has malfunctions?
Are these transmission prone to leaks it has 140k

When you run the shift lever through gears and Park, do the respective lights go ON on the shift console( engine running) ?

uhm ok I’ll check on that n see yea the engine runs but nothing engages but I’ll double check and see

it goes into gear but no movement at all no fluid leak and when I put it back in to park it grinds a gear

Did you find a solution to this because it just happened with mine, i managed to use slow revs and a slope in the road to get to my destination
