Display screen is black but Mercedes logo still turns on when starting

i have a 2011 Mercedes C300 and my display screen is black but the Mercedes logo in the screen still turns on when starting the car but goes black when its time to switch from the MB logo to Navi, radio, etc...
has anyone dealt with the same issue before? After its loads up When it first opens up

Does the radio still work? You may need a new screen, ……. Just replaced it on my daughters C350.
Weird..like previous poster my LCD screen died but remained black, no MB tristar on startup, fixed by replacing. . Houston, did yours remain "all black, all the time" too ? Sniff the top of your LCD..if whiff of burnt wire insulation, it died (somehow doubt). Next I would try a soft reboot of the Command System..see link.

Since you can still see the logo, it leads me to believe that your issue is not a bad screen. Have you tried resetting the comand unit? press the eject button and hold for 10 seconds...

Quick random question.... I have the same screen, would it be any possibility to "upgrade" just the LCD inside the screen? Like to replace the LCD with something better with more quality? better resolution?
Doubt it. I think all you will find is lcd replacement screens to replace a damaged screen. Im thinking even if you find an led screen the same size it will have different connectors.
Yes... that's what I was thinking. Even if you find an LED display you would have to somehow fit the connectors and I am not really sure it would work though.
