New update, the rotors you will need to work with these calipers are the 360 x 36mm Rotors off the C63. I bought the Brembo rotors off rockauto (it was cheaper than the Zimmerman from FCP Euro). Also, make sure you don't make my mistake and ordered brake pads for the C63 (I am so dumb), you need brake pads for the CLS550/E550 calipers. The C63 brake pads don't fit at all.

Yes, those spacers are on there because my wheels didn't clear the calipers. In your case, it's going to really depend on the type of wheel design you have, because some of the OEM wheels will clear it, but some won't. You will need to look at the concavity of your wheel design and see if it's BBK friendly.
2011Pre-facelift W212 E550 4matic with M273 front brake R/C/P bolted right up to my W204 2009 C300 4Matic. And W204 Pre-facelift C63 R/C/P bolted right up to the rear hub no problem as well.
However, the front calipers did require a little shave program, because they rubbed on the wheel ever so slightly, which is almost not noticeable from the outside with the wheel on.
I believe the front rotors are 340mm and the rears are 320mm. I have no issues running road courses or stopping from 160 to a standstill: regular MB dot 4 brake fluid, no special sauce.
Running factory twin 7 spoke 17 inch wheels, except the I installed an additional set of rear wheels on the front, with a 3mm spacer. 245/40/17 on all four corners wearing perfectly evenly, and easily rotatable as well.

I am currently attempting this caliper retrofit mod of my 2014 E 550 Coupe, RWD. These threads have helped me a lot, but I am still getting conflicting answers so would like to confirm with someone if possible... I do not work on my cars, so I must get it right the first time to avoid extra shop costs.
I briefly spoke to the owner of a 2016 E 550 RWD coupe, who said he used 'CLS 550 calipers and rotors.' But, the 2015+ used smaller calipers and rotors than my 14, which is why he had to change both anyways. He was unsure if he used RWD or 4matic calipers, and also had to use four stainless washers on the caliper bolts. Not sure if this was due to him using CLS calipers, or because he used CLS rotors.
I would like to avoid using any spacers or washers when mounting my calipers. And, I would also like to avoid buying new rotors since it seems I already have the correct rotors for this retrofit (and they're fairly new). I don't mind buying new brake lines (if needed due to 4matic calipers), but I just want to make sure I get this right on the first shot... and advice is greatly appreciated!! Thank you
I have 2 piston, “small” calipers in the front… I say small because they are not the 4 piston ones used on the E550 sedan and CLS550. And they are not the small 2 piston ones found on 2015 and later E coupes and CLS550s. Mercedes used this odd 2 piston caliper only coupe models up until 2014, commonly found on select Audi models. It shares the same rotors and offsets as the C63 and E550, not the CLS.
Here is a picture of my car, with the ‘small’ 2 piston calipers, but with the C63, 360mm rotors.

The only difference I saw between the RWD calipers versus the AWD (4matic) calipers was the position of how the brake line was connected. Has nothing to do with offset or anything like that. If you have AWD, the angle where the brake line comes in is different because of the AWD components up front. Otherwise, they are basically the same caliper offset wise if that's your concern.
Yes, and also it should be clear that CLS rotors are not bigger than E rotors. If you have a RWD, you should get the RWD calipers.

The RWD CLS 550 uses the 51.5 offset rotors.
My RWD E 550 uses the 64.5 offset rotors.
The 4matic CLS 550 and E 550 use the 64.5 offset rotors. (Same as my RWD Car)
So you think I should buy the RWD, CLS 550 calipers, and try them with my current 64.5 offset rotors? Do you see my hesitation and confusion here? Because there is no RWD models that use the same rotor offset that I have on my car. Only the 4matics share the same as mine. So not sure if the CLS has a different positioning with caliper assembly or hub...

do you have a CLS, E class or C Class. I have a C class and bought the CLS rotors which I think from all my research are wrong and will not fit the c class with the RWD calipers because of the offset of the rotors

I have a 2014 E 550 Coupe (C207 chassis, based on the W204).
In 2014, the coupe came with standard 64.5 offset, 360mm rotors shared with the C63 AMG and E 550 Sedan 4matic. Based on all the posts above, these seem to be the correct rotors for the retrofit. You should try returning those rotors because everyone here used the C63/E 64.5 rotors... which I have on mine currently, just without the big calipers.
I am trying to get this right in one shot because it will be going to a shop... I do not want to incur extra shop charges or labor fees if I 'guessed' incorrectly lol.
Their suggestion is to match drivetrain to drivetrain BUT, the RWD cars that used these calipers only used the 51.5 offset rotors, which my car does NOT have. The E550 4matic sedan used the same rotors... I don't mind switching to 4matic calipers if needed...
Of course, if the RWD CLS used the same rotors, I would've bought these and been done with the project by now.
This should be a much easier process for your car. The evidence is already on this thread and a few others. Mine is an odd ball car because they only used this unique caliper setup for a few years before downsizing in 2015...

So hat height is virtually identical at 0.1mm difference — the only meaningful differences are:
PVT vs fins — B474.11 wins on thermal performance
Weight — B474.11 is 13.6kg vs B769.51 at 16.124kg — B474.11 is significantly lighter
Hat OD — 1mm difference, negligible
With the lighter rotor, and better heat dissipation - I'm wondering if the SL550 Rotors are actual a silent win.
The other ones I found are the two pc rotors 09.9764.23 - but they are $453 USD They also have PVT, and a weight of 13.2kg which is also very close to those SL550 Rotors I was leaning towards
