Not too familiar with the audio side of things. But to see what options your car has you can look it up by your VIN #. For example mine has option 486 "sports suspension" and 952 "sports package". I think 772 also has something to do with sports package, maybe amg styling?
Also can tell the difference just by looking at it compared to other C300s. It sits lower, side skirts are different. I think the steering wheel is different, 3 star compared to 4.

I'm led to believe that the only way to play video, other than DVD, is through the AUX cable. Is that correct?
Side note...how can you tell the difference between base - luxury - sport?
I know I can't play it through my phone or by USB. Haven't tried the mini port yet. What file suffix with it play?
As far as I know, the base version was not offered in the US. If you have the star in the front grill, you have the sport version. If the star is on the hood, you have the luxury version.
For video, my 2013 had a port in the console. Is that what you mean when you say “mini port?” A media interface cable plugs into that port. The cable should have 3 leads. The yellow plug is for video. There is also a connector for old style iPods and another that I don’t remember. The car must be equipped with universal communication interface (518), and maybe navigation or Becker Map Pilot pre wiring.

I do not believe it is legal in the US to stream or play any video where the driver can view it. If your car is US-spec’d, you’re not going to be able to configure your COMAND unit to allow it.
That said, my RoadTop CarPlay unit has an HDMI port, but I don’t know what it is for.
Looks like you have all the options mine does for being the Sport model.

I totally forgot about the grill as mentioned above, sports is the 3 star and luxury no star. But I have read that people ordered the luxury model specifically for the softer suspension but like the Sport grill so they have them swapped out at the dealer when they get them, not sure how true or how much that happens. Also I bought a bought a set of used front struts off ebay before from a salvage yard, they listed the vin and when I looked everything up it said ti had the sports suspension but what I received was a set of luxury struts, had the 3 red dots on the springs and were about 1/2 taller than my sport struts, seller swears they were off that vehicle so i really dont know.

That’s correct. The yellow connector on the media adapter is for CAM input. It accepts the signal from a standard video camera and does not play GIFs, MPEGs, etc. I think the only thing that will display while in forward gears is NAV. Tried mine once years ago with car in P in driveway. Never tried it while moving.

The car looks quite good to me. The headlamps look like what I remember my 2013 having which were H-7 halogen for both high and low beam. If they don’t say Mercedes-Benz on the bottom inner lip, under the lens, then they’re aftermarket. A lot of people were disappointed in the performance of those OE halogen headlamps and changed them.
