Hello, I have a 09 C300 and the Driver side low beam was not working and I scanned with my scanner and it pointed at a front SAM problem. My vin is WDDGF54X69R045086 and the SAM in the vehicle is A 204 900 67 09. I looked online and found a bunch of numbers that would work with my VIN number and purchased a SAM with part number A 212 900 6824. I plugged it in but its doing all kinds of crazy things...headlight works now but no wipers,no power windows, reverse lights on etc etc so I need it programmed. I have 2 scanners a FOXWELL NT520 Pro and the ICARSOFT I980 but neither will program. Is there a way to program online? Thank You kindly in advance. My Best,Nel
@BenzNinja I got water in the front SAM yesterday when I was washing engine bay. Unbeknownst to me, my son was fiddling in the fuse box and left it hanging open. I had disconnected the battery beforehand (something I do whenever getting water anywhere near the engine. I tried drying everything as well as I could, even used a leaf blower to try and accelerate the process. I left the box open in my garage for almost 12 hours before I needed to use the car. Evidently, 90% humidity in florida doesn't help much. So, I reluctantly reattach the negative and proceed to fry the SAM. I am on my last legs here, was just washing it in preparation to sell it. How does your loaner programmer system work? I could barely afford the refurbished SAM, let alone the $300 programming fee they want to charge at the shop.
Wondering if some people dont know how to put the lid back on.
Its pretty simple once you figure out how its supposed to work. Angle the lid back on so the edge at the rear slides into the top of the box and push it all the way, then push the front of the cover down and everything should line up. Hook the two clips at the front and she should be sealed.
I was recently inspecting my lid after checking the fuses and the gasket looks great still. I have seen some used lids on eBay when looking around and the gaskets on them look flattened or couldnt even tell there was a gasket there. Something like that i would go ahead and get a new lid. With all the threads ive come across with front sam water damage im paranoid with mine.

By the way, how do you know you damaged the F-SAM? Smoke, sparks, burn marks?
