No start no crank no click but have power
I have a 1998 C230 Car won't start or crank or click it does nothing all the interior lights and the door chime and the heater radio etc all have power also trying to figure out what this two wire harness goes to that plugs in way under the fuel rail under the small vacuum lines that go to the PVC valve is for the other other end goes into the main engine harness wiring and it's a ***** to get to without taking apart the intake housing and manifold I'm a girl so my hands and arms are small I can reach down into the engine by the EGR valve but can barley touch the tip of the harness it sucks I need longer fingers

I would verify the battery is good and charged. Put it on a charger or use a battery booster/jumper cables to try and start it. if it still wont start maybe the starter is bad.
Is that the M111 engine? I never worked on one before so not familiar with it. The connector will be easy to identify if i had a better picture of where it is exactly.
Is this your engine harness? if not your VIN would be helpful finding the right diagrams

Try not to deal with too many things mixed together at the same time... it's often confusing.
It does not seem like a battery or starter issue so usually this will go towards a SECURITY issue with keyfob...

If the starter is bad, it will just do what you describe. When they go, they go without warning. Everything else is fine, but the ignition is completely dead.

That was exactly my experience. The starter works one time, then doesn't work the next time. This is unlike older vehicles in the past, when the failing starter would struggle and then occasionally start.

I had the starter on my 2000 Ford F150 go out like that. Just nothing once when I tried to start it. I didn't try the old "hit the starter with a hammer while someone tries to start the engine" but just bought a new starter and replaced it. There's really no warning or codes to indicate a bad starter. If everything else is fine but the engine doesn't even turn over, then it's probably the starter.

I did try the bounce the left side of the C250 when the starter failed. No joy.
