Random stalling at idle. 2013 C350 coupe
Never had this before on any of my Mercedes.
driving as normal, stop for whatever and whine just shuts off, no fanfare, no rumble or sputter. Turn ignition off, move shifter to park or neutral and it restarts immediately. No check engine light. Completely random. Taking it in to get a full scan done.
any idea would be appreciated.

No point in guessing with the limited info. Need to hook up a Mercedes specific obd scanner. You should get one if you dont already have one. Saves you money in the long run and you dont have to waste time taking it somewhere to have done.

Eco stop start.
After multiple this and that exploration, I found out tonight that the ECO system was enabled after 2 years of ownership. Never was an issue. How this is possible, I have absolutely no idea. The only thing I’ve done was had an Indy shop change the oil and filter. Usually do this myself, but didn’t this time.
Therefore my sincere apologies. Now I need to disable it.

At least we know the issue now. As dirt the past is possible that there was a code stopping the start/stop from working and maybe the Indy shop cleared that code and it started working again.
It's possible to have it coded out or to stay in it's last position. This is probably the best way.
I have heard of people unplugged the vacuum sensor that is going into the b power brake booster. This causes a code like what I was talking about above. But I don't believe it causes a CEL but the start stop will not work without that sensor.
Or turn it off when you get in there car Everytime. I did that for years.

You can disable the ECO Start/Stop with a LAUNCH Mercedes bi-directional scanner.
Your description of the problem initially may have been misleading. With ECO Start/Stop enabled, the engine should start immediately when taking your foot off the brake. Were you saying that you manually turned the engine off, put the car in Park or Neutral, and then restarted it?
