2015 C Class headroom with panoramic roof
Does anyone know how much headroom is reduced with the addition of the panoramic roof. The only number I can find is 37.1 inches of front and rear headroom in the 2015 C Class. The 2014 also lists 37.1 inches in the front. There is no mention if that number is with or without the panoramic roof. The roof or the roof mechanism must take up some of the headroom. My understanding is that in 2014 the regular sunroof was standard, the panoramic roof was optional. There was no option to not have either a sun roof or panoramic roof, so I guess the headroom might have not changed. For 2015, you can either order the panoramic roof or no opening roof at all. There must be a difference in headroom.

I have ordered a white W205 with AMG kit and panorama roof.
Tested both with and without and although I don't have any numbers I couldn't feel the difference. With the "glass" part visible it seems like you have more room then without panorama roof. I might be wrong...

Unless you are 7 feet tall or have a big hair-do from the 80's, then the pano-roof wont be a big deal.

Oh sorry.
I live in Norway and the launch was 15th March.
I got 20 minutes in one without the panorama, and two weeks after I got an hour to testdrive one with panorama.
Both myself and the backseat passengers had enough headroom either way, and I am 178cm.
The car is planned to be produced the first week of June and delivery by the last week of June - fingers crossed.
The only irritating fact is that night package will be an option in one months time. But I will probably get the side mirrors and chrome details arround the windows done black with some black 3M film.

I'm in USA. Travel to The show was reasonable. Norway would be a stretch. Thanks for the info though. My car will be built the 3 week of August for a September delivery. Iridium silver, black leather, black ash open pre wood, black 19 inch wheels with polished surfaces.

I think USA configurations and options are somewhat different than Norway. In the US we will only be able to get a C400 (which comes with a sport package that I think is called the AMG line in Europe) or C300 initially. I got the C400 with the Driver Assistance Package, Multi-Media package, Airmatic Package, Interior Package, Lighting Package. Parktronic w/Active park assist, Head-up display, and even the Air Balance Package. It's going to be a long wait for September. It will look like this:

Beautiful car.
In Norway we only have the 180, 200 gasoline and 220 Diesel engine.
The government here charges for weight and horse power. Almost $16000 is the charge for weight and horsepower, and $14000 is VAT....
Mine will have panorama, key less go start, tinted windows, blind spot assist, rearview camera, parking assist, automatic boot lid closing and five spoke AMG 18" rims. Just like the attachment

The dealers have package details with pricing. There is an order guide on line at the Benz Report with expected prices http://www.benzreport.com/2015-c-class-order-guide/
The Benz Report order guide matches the dealers exactly as to package content and price. MSRP is not yet available (only package prices), or at least I haven't seen it yet.

How are the seats? They are obviously a total redesign, and I like what I see from the interior pictures. It looks like the seat have a good "thigh spread" allowance. My problem with the w204 seats is that they are 'linear' from front to back. It's like they expect the driver to sit with their legs straight forward. When I sit, my legs spread a little naturally, and the w205 seats look like they are more contoured for this sitting position. I realize that's a pretty specific situation, just wondering how they felt.

The seats were great, and the thigh spread I feel is essential in making you feel that the cushion is long enough to support the entire length of your thigh. I remember thinking that I couldn't drive this car without it being extended.
My dealer called me yesterday to ask me if I wanted to see a car in polar white color. I can give some more details on the seats when I return.

normally when i drive, my legs are a bit spread out to the side. and since im kind of tall, my knees sometimes end up rubbing against or resting against the driver door/center console. in a car with a narrow cockpit, this can be pretty uncomfortable. id like to know what the "leg width" feels like in the driver seat. i think the poster above was sort of describing the same thing. i just dont like sitting with my legs straight ahead at all times. i like to spread them to the side but in order for that to be comfortable i need moderate space/leg width
if you sit in one again please try and describe what its like

Well, i got a lot more time to actually look at the headroom difference between panoarma and non panorama.
Conclusion:
Headroom is less on the "edges" with panoarama roof
Headroom is equal to/a bit more with the glass visible then when it is covered if you understand.
Regarding leg room.
It all depends on how far back your seet is, how tall you are, and how big your thighs are
In the C class 205 my legs rested on the sides touching the door and center console, so it might be a little cramped... But you just have to test it by yourself.

also, can you confirm that the panoramic roof slides open? or does it just tilt?

the roof tilt and open. It was tilted this time around, and when i test drove it, i opened it up all the way..
i am 180cm and weigh 100kg, unfortunately not all muscles![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Thinking about it - it feels like a 211 car... the 211 was also a bit cramped compared to 210 and 212..

I am not sure whether you ask about the W204, too, but I found that a 2013 coupe with pano roof was catastrophically tight, specifically the left roof frame. It wasn't do much the car center where the actual pano roof is, but to make the car pretty they moved in the roof side so much that my hair constantly touched it.

Detailed 2015 C Class dimensions
I found this diagram on Mercedes Benz UK site where the 2015 C Class is available. It has very detailed diagrams with dimensions in millimeters. It is not clear if the dimensions are with or without a pano roof, but it appears that they are without it. Front headroom is 1039mm (nearly 41 inches), rear is 942mm (about 37 inches). This makes sense.
