Hello... Traditionally I've hated the C class... Until the MY15 was unveiled... Benz knocked it out the park... So the wife and I headed down to the dealership to check out cars.... Test drove the MY14 S550 and walked out with an order for a MY15 polar white C400 Sport... Lol... And I do understand that picture is of a diamond white C400.... Unfortunately there are no decent pictures of the polar white version...est delivery date early to mid oct... The dealer informed us our order is the first order for the c400 sport here....This car is one software tune away from being a BMW M killer

Very Nice and Congrats.
I would strongly suggest that you add the lighting package to your order. If you don't then your car is going to look nothing like the pic you posted.

I guess the dealer just put random numbers on your order... I cant imagine anyone paying $100k for a C400, lol
Keep us up to date with your order process.

Yes the sport comes with the standard led low.. And what looks like halogen highs... Were going to call the dealer and have him upgrade to full led high and lows...

me and you have a similar order. i ordered a polar white c400 with full LED lights and the 19inch multi spoke wheels. currently deciding if i should keep those wheels or not though, but i think there is something beautiful about the black/white contrast of the panoramic roof and wheels against the polar white body.

i am debating whether or not i should add airmatic suspension but my order is almost fully loaded and im fearing it might be getting too expensive. it will probably be over 55k. if i was to change anything at this point it would be trading my wheels for airmatic. i also might cancel parktronic with parking assist.

See we found out there are two distinct multi spoke wheel options.... Full machined aluminum or machine have black windows (paint between the spokes)... Or dilemma is spring for the panoramic sunroof or not... My wife requires a sunroof... Lol.. We vetoed the air suspension/HUD/

Are ALL the numbers just "plugged in/random"? I know the car itself isn't 100K, but according to the MY15 US ordering guide (the .pdf guide from April 17th, 2014) linden wood is listed as a "no cost option".

yes i almost made the mistake of getting the regular aluminum multi spoke wheels. i had to correct my dealer and give him the specific number of the black multispoke wheels.

i require a sunroof as well so i got the panoramic roof and black multi spoke wheels. it will contrast beautifully on the polar white.

maybe i should begin "vetoing" (lol nice word) some options. im still scared the price will be too much for me. HUD is $1000 and im not sure it is THAT useful...

what is different about this hud? does it have real time navigation directions displayed? can anyone post an informative video about the w205 hud?

i may consider deleting it in favor of airmatic, or just deleting it period.

Just browse the mercedes-Benz.com English site. A lot of info.
The HUD shows navigation arrows, or if not navigating, it says which street you are driving in.
If you have the speed limit assist with Comand, it will show the speed limits.

wait a minute, the HUD doesnt show my speed limit as standard? i have to pay extra just to have the speed limit displayed? so what exactly am i paying $1000 dollars for?

so i need to buy the driver assist package and HUD - a total of almost $4000 dollars. just to have the speed limit displayed? unbelievable. now i am going to cancel the HUD for sure.

Traffic sign assist must be bought and I believe it only sells with Comand.
Also the speed limit assist is not a feature delivered in all countries. I believe USA does not have traffic sign assist.

Polar white is really the best choice <3

equal color temps with all bulbs
led's last much longer than standard bulbs
the headlight itself has a distinct look

worth it? like all the other options that are available...is it worth it to YOU

To add on to what the other poster said... With the full led headlight you can have the hibeam all the time on when it senses an oncoming vehicle the light is focused away from the other drivers line of sight... As well as an option for the headlights to turn and focus light onto the path you take while cornering

keep in mind c400driver that we live in the U.S., so our cars will be getting that ugly orange reflector in the headlights. they wont look as nice as the European versions

The number is a placeholder since there isn't an official price in the system ... Once the car arrives or soon before.... we will negotiate the terms

This is one area where North American lighting rules are superior to European regulations. Though they are integrated into the headlight casing, it looks like the amber reflectors wrap around enough so they'd qualify as side reflectors, which are required for North American cars (they also have to be amber colored). Because they're just reflectors and don't need power to work, they mark the corners of parked cars at night for other drivers as well as reduce the chance of t-bone side collisions.

This is what the European W205 C-Class headlights and front side looks like:

No side reflectors may arguably look better but their inclusion provide tangible safety and visibility benefits. Side reflectors operates on such as a low level of consciousness that it's hard to appreciate their usefulness until you drive down a dark side street lined with cars that don't have them.

I understand the need for side reflectors on trucks and buses. But on cars?
They just look stupid on a car in my opinion. One more thing America it's holding on to, just like cheques as a payment method.
