Mercedes Benz C-class W205 Problems Malfunction What Is Your Experience ?
Thanks!
I've notice on cold mornings, my 19" stock run-flats flat spot, and it takes a little bit of driving before it corrects.
suspension is good there were no problems in the car
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
Didn't know the Eject button trick (is this a documented trick?) but no button presses, holds did anything. Drove to work..
At worked, parked it and turned it off for a few minutes. Restart and all was back to normal - but still - a bit concerned. There are 'some' who must have the navigation to get anywhere. Is this a documented problem by others?
Other issues include the keyless boot open/close hardly ever responding and it taking at least two presses of the red buttons to close.
Also noticed the Bluetooth disconnects ever now and then reconnects then disconnects. I use Bluetooth for phone but USB for music from my iPhone. Sometimes the car doesn't recognise the phone via the cable, stops allowing me to change tracks via the car and I have to physically disconnect the cable.
Finally, I notice Active Lane Keeping Assist is nowhere near as responsive as our E400 cabrio. I have tested it with broken and unbroken lines without steering and often the car does not report at all.

Makes you wonder about their thinking when they provide a square deep recess for a storage crate when it could have been round for a tyre.
Let alone the profit Mercedes makes by not supplying a spare tire/jack/lug wrench, I bet they also make a pretty penny from the run-flat tire manufacturer as well since the cost of run-flats is so much higher than a conventional tire.
Meanwhile I'll make anyone who's interested in the BFG set with about 400 miles on them a great deal. Be warned, they're not pretty.

Ride quality and quietness are a 9.5 out of 10 though and they have a 22,500 tread life warranty.
Personally, I think Mercedes always needs to be more reliable than BMW as part of its value proposition. When I was growing up, the trade off between the two was that you would give up some driving dynamics for higher quality, both in terms of a smooth ride and in frequency/likelihood of problems. I'm willing to deal with more repairs for a sporty car than for one that promises to be "the best".
I would now happily have an alternate brand and model following the issues i have endured to date.... that wasn't the case after the previous MB over 5 yrs..
The fact I have sorted the vast majority of issues to date (manu minor issues still outstanding / continue to develop), after alot of inconvienience, and the hammering you get on near new residuals, are the only real reasons for staying with the car. ie my brand perception has chnaged markedly..
MB are now IMO a high tech, innovative, high price, moderate quality product....
Reality is the tech and innovation are very rapidily deminished as other brands follow suit... at a lower cost and higher quality.. makes the purchasing decision more open for sure...
What minor issues have continued to develop? Are they technological or mechanical or both?
Updates provided by MB for instance the TCU software updates introduced a very rough shift from 2nd to 3rd up or down, wasn't there at all previously..
Continued and developing creaks have been common... or the dealers are unable to effectively remedy.. eg applying silicon grease to window moudlings when door cards are creaking..
Previously non groaning brakes staring to groan at low speed..
every month to date (9 months thus far), there has been something either continued, not corrected or new...
and whilst my particular delar has been very accomadating, the situation still stands..
I'm not bitter or overly frustrated by it all.. but what was a handsome and high tech and somewhat apsirational product, has now become a bit meh..... which is a shame..
Anyhow I shall change at 3 years old.. and MB may or may not be in the frame at tthat point...
