Winter tires for C400 19inch rim
My C400 is supposed to be delivered by December in this winter in Canada. Since the C400 is coming with performance tires, I might have to replace those to winter tires.... Does anyone have a similar plan to change tires?. And if so, please let me know what tires would be good for C400.

255/35R19* 96V - rear tire size - it's the rear tire size that is hard to find.
225/40R19* 93V - front tire size
My dealer confirmed that these tires will work but they are not yet approved as Mercedes original equipment.

You may want to consider purchasing a set of 17" alloy wheels and winter tires to swap during the winter months. You only have to have them mounted and balanced once. Once they are on rims they are easy to swap yourself. There will be a lot more tire options at that size and they will be a hell of a lot cheaper. The side walls on those tires will do you a lot better in deep snow and you will get deeper tred. Road salt will also do a number on those 19" rims. Sure looks might suffer a bit on 17s but they are far from donuts....

Be sure to check the required load index for the tires. The load index of the front and rear (89 and 92) of those winter tires is less than the load index of the original equipment and the Pirelli Cinturatos all season run flats (93 and 96). A dealer will probably be able to tell you what the minimum load rating must be.
