AMG Package Vs. Non AMG Package !!!

Would anyone have any thoughts on the comparison between these two?

Also if anyone had any pictures of both models in comparison that will be really helpful.

I'm still trying to decide on the AMG Vs. Non AMG

Maybe I can use the extra 2 grand on other packages if I feel that the AMG Package is just not worth the cost.

Let me know please, thanks in advance!

Check out the brochure for the C-Class - They're all nicely illustrated there, and there's also a description of what comes with each package.

Get the AMG for sure, it's totally worth it just based on appearance IMO

AMG is expensive, but it will be easier to sell the car later.

Definitely the AMG Sport, for me. The details on the front and rear valences alone, make it worth it, in my opinion.
I've got an AMG Sport on a 5 day test, ATM - in Black (which isn't my favourite colour) but it looks fantastic on the drive.

Over here you can choose from AMG Exterior package and AMG Interior package, meaning you can go with exclusive exterior and AMG interior and the other way around,
Cars with exterior AMG and non AMG interior are pretty common here as both kits are pretty expensive.

Personally I am only considering the Sport version. While I'd much prefer to spend the money of more functional options, the differences between sport and regular is the difference between me loving the way to the car looks and not really liking how it looks. I know many of the differences are rather subtle but in my mind they add up to a big difference in how the car looks.

That's exactly what I was thinking, I could have over 2 grand for other options or I could have a car that really shines.

Haha I guess when it all comes down to it, you gotta make a choice.

Definitely AMG. The base looks a little boring. The luxury looks awful, like if someone simply slapped a grill on a car that wasn't designed for it. Plus you get all the other goodies like bigger, crossdrilled brakes and multipot calipers, nicer interior trim, sportier suspension tuning without loss of comfort, larger wheels and much more sporty exterior styling. The non AMG version IMO is like an ugly sister worthy only for taxi duty.

Yeah I think the AMG really is nice looking, just I figured the base one would be softer on the road and plus save some dough.

Is there anyway I can do a polling on here?

Honestly, it's such a subjective thing, I'm not sure polling will help you. If you like your sedans a little stiffer, lower and "sportier" then get the AMG package. You will not regret it even if the price bothers you a little. If you want a more "pillowy" yet still responsive ride, and prefer the traditional MB grille, then skip AMG and get the multimedia package or AIRMATIC.

For me, once I saw the 18in AMG wheels, my decision was made.

The AMG pack is gorgeous (subjective opinion). For me an additional consideration is snow (and lots of it) in Canada. I'm worried that the 1cm lower ride, coupled with the lower lip of the AMG lip (looks like 2-3cm more) would mean it's scraping the snow/ice a lot more often and getting damaged. Then again, it's gorgeous, so who knows what mood I'll be in when it's time to buy
We also have speedbumps that are higher than the Himalayas in some places in some parking lots.

Is it only 2-3 CM lower with sports package?

It looks a lot lower in person.

Mmmm would anyone know for sure?

That's what airmatic is for! Snow mode is about 3cm higher than the lowest position.

Definitely get the AMG package! The standard interior looks pretty basic without it. The external styling also makes the car look way sportier with the chrome splitter at the front, and in Australia it comes with 19" AMG bi-black wheels.

Check out the pics in my album if you wanted to see what it looks like

Airmatic is only available as an option on the C400 in Canada. I'm considering the C300.
Can get the AMG pack for the C300 (which lowers it, changes the wheels and adds the ground effects), but that won't come with Airmatic.

Another nonsensical idiosyncrasy
