Audio 20 unit froze and turned off

Audio 20 unit froze and turned off
Ugh well had my iPhone 6 plus plugged in and was listening to music on it and my audio 20 unit locked up and froze. Tried pressing all the buttons and restarting the car and now it's totally shut off 
So now I have no radio,music, navi, or backup camera working. Pretty upset as this will be the second time this week I'll have to take to the dealer

I locked the car and filled my car with gas for a few minutes and that didn't help.
The screen is off and on my screen next to my speedometer it says radio off, media off etc...
If I change the AC speed it will show up on the bottom of the screen for a few seconds really dim but thats all.
Well had to really ***** and moan to get an appointment and loaner car for tomorrow morning so I'll update as soon as I have more info

Ok well went to the dealer today and they were able to reset the audio 20 unit in a few minutes.
The problem definitely seems to be with playing music with an iPhone 6/6+ or iOS8 while plugged in as the dealer said they've had several complaints of this problem.
So as of now I'm just using bluetooth streaming and haven't had any problems yet.

Another reason to avoid the IPhone! We're having quite a ball with it on another thread, though no blood has been spilled

Hey I know this is an old post, but literally just had a new C Class Sport delivered with the Audio 20, and this is still happening? Do i need to get it in to get it updated?

Are you having an issue with yours? If you are, yes, by all means take it in. If however, you arean't having an issue, I'd suggest not fixing something that isn't broken.

Yes having exactly the same problem. Although mine is just freezing then resetting. When using iPhone for Bluetooth and also connected as an iPod.
I was wondering if it had been resolved or wether if I just bought an iPod for music that would resolve it?
Will be contacting the dealer tomorrow to see what they think.

Ask dealer to update your Audio 20 SW to latest release. It might make a difference - bug fixes, other interesting improvements.
Have mine updated to SW version after 09.2015 while my initial SW has been dated prior to 02.2015.

However my car is going into the dealer on Friday for some software updates. Am wondering if its worth asking for this to be updated - not even sure how what their procedure is for allowing a request for a software update.
What sort of improvements have you seen ?

Two I can mention:
- access to emails (multiple accounts) from audio 20 ( only sms in previous version )
- ability to arrange your favourites as you like meaning overriding the first 6 shortcuts that were "frozen" in the past
you should mention your incidents and ask the dealer to bring the car to the latest sw. upgrade procedure is quite safe, I would definitely go for it.

I've not had many - perhaps 3 - Audio 20 meltdowns. Ie either no response or goes dark.

Especially the ability to arrange favourites sounds useful (well apart from stopping it from freezing up).
