bringing C400 home! any info regarding dealer's add ons
Finally after a long wait, I'm glad to hear that my car would be in by tom, and ready to be picked up Tuesday 27th...
Had to get my sales agreement done in the meantime, and I bought a whole bunch of stuff from the dealer... hope it's worth it
Added
- extended warranty (for 100,000miles),
- service pack (4years/40,000miles),
- lowjack,
- phantom footprint
- perma treatment, supposedly 7 year paint protection
added a good 7K on the total... any inputs?

How much are they charging you for the 7yr/100K mi extended warranty? You have 30 days to buy from any MB dealers without 15% up charge so you could shop around. My dealer wants $3500 and I found another dealer offering at $2700, guess who I went with. 
I think this goes for the service pack too but I didn't ask because I wasn't interested.
Oh yeah, buy McGard wheel locks on line instead of MB's. They are almost the same and save about $100.

, I was a bit too eager and went ahead got my sales contract done .
I was charged 3200 for the extended warranty, and 1350 for the maintenance plan.
Is it possible to cancel and rework on the sales contract in California once I have already signed?
Also, the Finance manager didn't tell me in advance that I had time to buy warranty and service post purchase of the car, the sales rep did indicate, but the FM seemed to speak otherwise and I did get a bit overwhelmed as well.
Should have consulted here first... need to

Don't know about CA but there is 3 business day for contract cancellation in NJ and I think Pa.
I would call them and ask them that you change your mind; most will just do it as you didn't picked up your car.

I will try, hope they do it... from what I have heard, there is no Cooling off period in CA, am not sure if that applies to my case already.

Personally, I will be bringing my car to a shop that is qualified to apply CQwartz finest. It's a sealant that's almost like another layer of clear coat.

Ya, seems like it so far... what was annoying is when I asked the FM how much time I have to decide on the addons, I was told the next 2-3mins, and that's what I took it up with my sales rep and seems like that hit him and they said they would change as needed.

You do know the FM gets commissions ($$$) from upsale like those addons. In addition, they especially the FM don't want any complains to MBUSA and after sale surveys because the dealers' car prices and incentives are impacted by customer satisfactory rating. Good for you and keep us posted.

Good news about the ADP add on too!! They're called ADP in the business, Additional Dealer Profit and really add nothing to the value of the vehicle. Shop around on the net for an extended MB warranty and make sure its an MB one.
Now, the real question I have is, what are you going to do when the C450 hits the street this fall??

thanks for the help everyone... I will be posting the pics soon, haven't gotten some good ones yet!
What sucks is that I got the bad flu so no long trips for a couple of weeks now. Usually I get the black, and I just love that color... simple and yet elegant, this time around wanted to get something different (too bad they don't make red, but somehow brown!), anyways got the lunar blue... and it looks imperial! love that color!
