Do cars built in 2015 have wind noise problem?

We know that many W205 C class cars have a some degree of wind noise issue. Some posts suggest that these are older vintage cars. What about cars manufactured in 2015? Let us know.

End of January 2015 build---and more noise in my custom order than most unfortunately. Not meaning general wind noise, meaning very localized to front/top of door/window.

Have driven in 15-20 2015 C300s, maybe I have sensitive ears, but have not heard a C300 more than a few months old that doesn't have the noise. If someone has one, would love to take a ride in it and see how seals/doors line up differently than mine.

Mine arrived last week. It left the Alabama factory the 2nd day of February and had too much noise. I didn't accept delivery and dealer returned it for the noise and the bumper.

I've gone on test drive with a friend who said he didn't hear the noise though. Maybe everyone's ears are different. My dealer said they all have varying degree of that noise and anticipate a fix (once someone smart figures out the cause).

Does anyone in Europe with the laminate acoustic side coating glass have any observations?

Mine is an early Jan '15 build and has the wind noise from the front windows. It's not obnoxious, but definitely noticeable.

It's not all about noise, but so far, it's the on yet to be diagnosed or fixed issue in the w205.

Of the cars listed that you retired, which were quietest? Would be nice, but I wouldn't expect MB to be quieter than any of them, but would think no distinct area of a wind leak as we have. In general, if MB nailed QC and noise, Lexus wouldn't have much to offer.

This makes me really hesitant to buy a C300. :/ Hopefully MB will have some kind of fix for it for the 2015 MY. If not, then it may be too much of a risk.

July 2014 built in South Africa
Always had wind noise from front drivers window but worse than this was a loud rattle from both front windows when fully closed. If you just pinched them open a bit the rattle disappeared and more wind noise came in.
Just putting up with the window wind noise

Is the wind noise noticeable with the radio on at a normal volume? I'm not going to worry too much about it if so because I never drive around in silence.

It was the '09 Lexus ES350, but at the time I didn't realize it. I think manufacturers have since tried to cut costs buy using inferior products.

I would say at lower speeds (less than 50 mph) you won't notice it. Above that the noise is there with the radio on, but unless you actually concentrate on listening to the wind noise, it won't be an issue.

I find that if I'm in constant critique mode, then the noise if obvious. If I'm just enjoying the car, I don't notice it.

December 2014 build and lots of wind noise. Loudest production car wind noise that isn't a convertible. Dealer said its a lot, but tested another C on their lot and laughed, saying its normal, but maybe a fix will come.

Unless your music on stereo is loud at the exact Frequencies of the wind rush. The wind is apparent even at loud volume. This isn't normal overall wind noise. Think normal car with window down half an inch.

The ES is a quiet car. Not sure if the new ones are as much. I haven't sriven but read reviews they stiffened it. I thought the RX was supposedly more quiet. I guess not.

I can't comment on the ES350 after 2009, but I've read that it and the Avalon share the same platform. If you want the feeling of a steel wheel wagon driving over railroad ties, get one of those. I also read the Avalon is supposed to soften the ride, and I assume Lexus will do the same. The 2014 Lexus RX350 (gas) wasn't that much of a smooth ride nor all that quiet.

I haven't owned either. The reviews say the new Avalon softer than the ES350 that went a little stiffer in 2013 forward. Any maybe louder? Supposedly RX after 2013 has double pane glass and reports said quiet. Again, no first hand experience. Last Lexus I was in was an LS. Super quiet and smooth. Not fun to drive, but my pick for a highway cruiser.

I drove a C400 yesterday and it was quiet, no wind noise. I think these cars are all over the map with wind noise and you really have to drive one to ascertain if it is affected.

My car is C200 AMG Line built in Germany December 2014 and it has the wind noise problem. Noise comes from the upper part of the drivers door. It sounds like the window is not fully closed.

It'd be nice if it was as easy. Some worse than others at the start, but haven't been in any 2015 C a few months old here with our temp and humidity swings that didn't develop the noise in short order even if started quiet. Though some people don't really hear it (some in my car say it's zero wind, when I'm still hearing it with music on loud)

That's the exact spot and sound. If have better luck with your maintence there diagnosing and fixing the issue, please share. In US, no luck yet for us.

I rode in SA built right hand drive C. I was excited to try the diesel version of this car. Identical same wind noise to here. Dealer didn't hear it as much as me, but something not normal.
