I have no problem taking a Macan S of the lot instead of the C450 if they continue to play games. The only killer is the alledged $500 Porsche oil changes.

Sorry to hear the delay is still in full effect.
As far as my situation I was able to get one of my local dealerships to give me a 5% discount off of MSRP. What do you guys think? Should I push for more? Another dealership will knock $2K off MSRP but that's like 3.5% discount.

I hear your frustration, but just remember, if they miss your deadline and you don't take the car, it's not like they won't have a line of customers behind you who'd gladly buy it when it comes in.

On my 2014 W204 I only have E and S mode, E is the new "comfort" which was found in the previous model years of the C Class.

I went out to see if I could build one on the Canada site. It's not easy to find, but if you build one and check the page listing standard equipment, the rearview camera is a standard feature on the C450.

Are you sure your car was built already?

Strange, when we ordered our Diamond White C450 in June, we were told there was a constraint on the Diamond white paint and despite having several earlier build dates, the earliest we were able to get a build for that color was mid October.

I don't think individual dealerships have color constraints imposed on them for open allocation slots long before the deadline for finalizing the specs on the allocation. That doesn't sound right to me.

I'm so excited about my new C450! It's sposed to be delivered around end of October or early November!
For those of you in New York, out of all the dealers I spoke with, the best offer I got was $6,250 off the MSRP. I'm still wondering if it was possible to get a better deal, although it seems like a good discount. If anyone is interested, PM me, I will gladly share contact info.

I was just guessing. I don't know how the dealer allocation system really works, but there are some constraints imposed on each dealer. What I do remember about my order, was my dealer already had an allocation for the color I wanted, and then they were able to option it the way I wanted it built.

B7? or did he mean D4 "READY TO DELIVER"?
D4 would make more sense, the early builds (August and first week of September) that everyone has been anxiously awaiting, sat at the VPC with a D4 status for almost two weeks and then finally went to D5... but as you can see, we are still waiting for them

So the VIN is created at B4 "2 DAYS TO COMPLETION." The only time that I am aware of that someone without NetStar access can get a glimpse into the tracking process is at D5 when the vehicle is loaded onto the truck for delivery. At that point, MB automatically updates the dealers inventory with the new vehicle, and everyone should be able to see it.

I am not aware of any other way to actually track the VIN, but I would certainly be interested in hearing about it, if someone knows how to do it.B0 19 DAYS TO PRODUCTION

The latest news for the vehicle being held hostage at the VPC is DOT certification issues. My 4th quoted expected arrival date at the dealership is now 9/28.
Tic toc ... 22 days and hello Macan Turbo or Macan S. After the 28th I will let my sales rep know my intentions and they can either sweeten the deal or adios. I feel bad since it's not his fault but I need a vehicle soon and I am running out of time and patience.

I think the car would have arrived faster from Deutschland than Tuscaloosa.

(I say "where it is" because I think yours is in the same limbo as the one in front of mine that is in D5 "RELEASED TO CARRIER," meaning that it is beyond the VPC at this point).
