Even better yet, the new configurator has the rearview camera in the multimedia package...

It keeps getting better... Anything strange about the parking assist package?

It looks like us early adopters get screwed paying $140 more for the combo Parktronic + RV Camera. That is a killer that the 360 camera is not available.

No night package plus on the configurator. I am wondering if they dropped this option. Tmoney and I both might be headed to the body shop to have are diffusers painted black.

The only semi-bright spot is the cost is almost spot on to the order sheet.

Roger that... they did throw in the rear side airbags (originally a $420 option)... The one option that I didn't really care about

I'm guessing MBUSA hasn't finished the configurator yet? It looks like they just copy and pasted a bunch of stuff from the previous C400, C300, and the C63 configurator. Default image of the c450 doesn't even include the blacked out mirrors and frames.

My completed build sheet has "comfort package" with heated seats and no ventilated seats rather than the interior package, which is indicative of the 2015 models. AMG steering wheel and seat belt colors aren't there and you can't even view the rear side of the car. I think the only thing they finished is the pricing and adding some new packages.

Yep... but I wouldn't be surprised if most of their updates are done. MBUSA's 2015 C63S configurator never had the Edition 1 package or the designo-style nappa leather.

It's an embarrassment compared to the configurator on the German site.

Holy crap! It looks like we Canadians have gotten a smoking deal
I configure my build on the US site, and it comes to $64,225, I paid CDN$63,990 plus destination. That's like US$48,300. I'm happy, but it's a real head scratcher, our cars are usually more expensive

That is pretty crazy... I think if I was a dealer in Canada, I would work what you just said into my sales promotion.

(Either that, or get the VW rear-end event ladies... they are priceless )

I think the grey diffuser looks good with the grey car so you should be set ...

I just checked with MBUSA corporate customer care and they seem to think that the cars will start rolling-out of the Baltimore VPC now that it appears that picing has been finalized.

When someone originally posted their order, I actually thought it was in USD and not CAD. that is good that you finally get a break.

If you want to really feel good go to the German website and price-out the car. This makes the US deal seem sweet.

The VW ladies are priceless! They definitely hire a good PR firm. Excellent commercials dating back with the Darth Vader kid in the Super Bowl ad and Stevie Wonder and Tracy Morgan in the punch bug commercial.

Yeah, whoever came up with those commercials should be getting some extra $$. (Along with the Jake from State Farm marketing crew).

on the surround view cameras. Great news if it's real.

The configurator summary does not include the Driver Assistance Package that I checked off, but does include it in the bottom line total $. So there is still some work remaining on the website.

The site shows one of my three local dealers has a C450 in inventory.

Is it a $60,955 Iridium w/ black leather and red accents (VIN 55SWF6EB8GU103635)?

It seems to come up as inventory for every dealer that I look at through MBUSA.

C450, GLS 63 and a few other things
So a few things new to me at least from the US configurator:

In order to get the Interior Package, you must ($2880) you must get the Premium 2 package ($1520) which lists the LED headlights (that should be standard) and the Burmester.

I had to check the rear camera ($460) mandatory as part of the Multi Media pack tage. After adding the park assist package ($1290), kept the option, but the final build stated that it was included with park assist, but still listed separately without a charge.

The Ash Wood was a no cost option, but was listed as "natural grain" versus "open poor" that was a $325 option on the 2015 C300 I believe.

Now that the interior package totals $4400 with the Audio required, I'm tempted t leave it out. $4400 for leather, power passenger seat, lighted sills, ambiet lighting and the Burmester. Seems a little overpriced. Also, the interior package lists the vented seats according the configurator, but the builds coming seem to not have it.

If you look at the Lighting Package:

...it looks like that is the package triggering the Premium 2 package. That's a head scratcher

Seems like that is another way they will force the Premium 2 package. That said, I didn't add the lighting package. When I went into the build and added the Interior it force added the Premium 2. If you remove the Premium 2 it notes that it will also remove the Interior package.

You're right, that is seriously screwed up.

If I go in to the dealer tomorrow, I'll see if I can get them to play around with the order system and see if that is a real requirement or our cheesy configurator.

I have some new numbers on my build and it appears to be officially in the dealer's inventory. I am not sure if that this will help or make things worst.

The car is supposed to be shipped early next week. I am guessing that I can close the deal by the end of next week.

Well finally the C450 is on MBUSA.
As expected the C450 is 5000 dollars more than a similarly configured C400.
For the pleasure you get magnetic suspension (instead of optional air), 10% more rear bias, slightly larger brakes and lots of AMG badges which you can delete for free. Same engine and transmission with an "AMG tune" which are both also available from Renntech for 2000 bucks with more power (12hp) and TQ (20lbs). You cant get vented seats anymore.
So I guess I just saved myself 3000 bucks for a faster car. BTW, no mention of Pilot SuperSport tires, as expected, since there are no available run flats.

If you haven't jumped the bridge yet, you might be able to get a C400 with a 5000 dollar discount and pile those 10,000 bucks for a better "tune", real sport rubber and lots of other goodies

The C300 Builder on the MBUSA site is screwy too. Try to build one with P1 and P2, Interior Package and you're forced to get the Driver Assistance Package for $2800.
