The last news I had was "ready to ship" status on 9/16.

I am not too concerned anymore. I need a car by 11/15 and already have financing in place that keeps on getting delayed too. I took some measurements and the Porsche Macan S or Turbo fits in my narrow garage so I am good to go although maintenance is probably significantly higher than M-B. We'll see what happens over the next 3 weeks. I have no issues with 340 HP or 400 HP CUV.

That is too funny ("out in the wild"). Your alright for a guy who roots for the Penguins and the Steelers.

I have some roots from the Burgh. M&P were from Oakland and Duquesne, respectively and we originally lived in Castle Shannon before relocating to the Philly suburbs. My father was a die-hard Steelers fan until he passed. He is still probably rooting for them in heaven.

I don't think you are going to be running the C450 in the winter but I came across a good option for performance snow tires for the Northerners ... Pirelli Sottozero 210 Series II Run Flats. No one has the front tires in stock for the 19" rims but as we head toward October one would expect Tirerack or 1010tire to carry the stock.

Nice... I grew up in Pleasant Hills and then eventually moved to Bethel Park.

Yeah, if you grew up in the Burgh anywhere near the 70s, it would have been pretty hard to not be a Steelers fan.

I'm still debating on the wheels. I really like the wheels that I ordered (605 - 19" AMG Multispoke - Titanium), but I wouldn't mind a wider wheel in the summer. I am definitely going to lose the run flats. I think I am going to replace the run flats with Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06 all-season tires, and then evaluate whether or not to get the wider C63's 662 - 19" AMG Cross-Spoke Forged - Black wheels, some time next summer.

I ordered the rear badge delete (both "C450" and "4Matic" are deleted) but kept the fender badges. I prefer the cleaner look on the decklid and don't like chrome/brightwork, so anything of that I can toss the better. It's also why I ordered the Night Package. The fender badges are dark so I don't mind them.

I'm not sure however you can still order the badge delete. I know the MBUSA site shows it and it was in the ordering system way back when I ordered in July, but now my final build configuration shows that option was dropped. I already asked my salesperson to have the rear badges removed anyway so I'm sure your dealer could do it too if you ask.

I would strongly advise against all season tires. Why compromise on the performance of the car? Plus the all seasons are noisy, compared to summer tires. I've ordered my C450 with the 19s and summers, but I will be getting a set of 18 rims with dedicated winter tires. The best of both worlds, I guess

Hearing all these delays you guys are having is making me question that I'll even get mine this week... no word yet from my salesperson that my car is in their inventory. He seemed confident in a delivery by end of the week though.

I'd agree on the no-season tires on a sports sedan. It's like wearing house slippers at the gym. However, that's also easy for me to say since I live in CA and can run summer tires year-round. In the colder states I imagine it's a pain to carry two sets of wheels and tires.

I'm definitely not going with summer tires on the 7.5 x 19 ET 44 front (8.5 x 19 ET 52 rear) wheels before making a final decision on the 8.5 x 19 ET 38 front (9.5 x 19 ET 56 rear) wheels. I would keep the run flats before doing that. I'll get the summer tires when I get the larger wheels.

Aren't the 19' run flats summer tires? What's the point off all season tires on a sports sedan?

Ever use run flats on rain or snow when the temperature is below 45 degrees? The rubber turns rock hard.

That's what winter tires are for, buddy. I have been using blizzaks run flats on my RWD 3351 for 5 years, with no problem, and I live in western Canada. I definitely wouldn't use summer tires at those low temperatures, and all season tires are garbage, compared to winter tires in low temperatures

Your killing me... I am not buying multiple sets of tires before I determine the final wheel sets. If I was going to drive the car extensively in the snow, I would get snow tires, but even then with an AWD vehicle, it would have to be some serious time in the snow (as in daily driver, which it's not).

Wow... they must have had two of the early build slots and used them both for dealer inventory.

Which dealer is it? It looks like Mercedes-Benz of Bedford has two, but neither of them were on the original list:

55SWF6EB7GU106008 - Steel Grey Metallic / Black leather $61,135

55SWF6EB6GU108025 - Black / designo Platinum $65,125

I had not originally planned on purchasing 2 sets of tires for summer and winter but since I use this as a daily driver I do not have a choice. I plan on going running summer performance and winter performance. Good to know that Blizzak makes RF tires. I am not sure if they have tires that will fit the 19" rims. I just plan on flipping tires and not changing to a smaller rim.

At least some vehicles are making it out of the black hole (AKA VPC) in Baltimore.

I have yet to see any with Carbon Fiber Trim (or Silver Fiber Glass Trim for that matter). They have all been either Aluminum/Gloss Black, Natural Grain Black Ash wood, or Linden wood.

I think it is just a fluke that they have not released vehicles with these inserts. I just thought it was M-B pissing-off the guys from Philly. I am assuming Tmoney's car is still a "no show" too. I think he has the Ash Wood.

Yeah, I'm sure that is fluke... that would have stopped your build cold.

The Philly part might have some warrant to it

There can't be any Philly deliveries yet because they can only occur after there are NY deliveries because we all know that in all aspects, NY always comes before Philly. That's why Philadelphians have an inferiority complex.
