He's asking about camber, not rotor size.

What do you guys think of the VR tune? Seems a bit early/ untested to me.

Vr tune

The fact that the vendor stated it was tested 4-5 weeks before selling it .. Is a red flag to me. Though it costs more I would go with a more reputable tuner company like kleeman. Brabus or renntech. They have been around longer and their reputation speaks for themselves.

Renntech quoted me 2500 for their ecu upgrade and stated that I should get an additional 50 hp out of the car however they are verifying exact numbers this week.

Thanks *****, i agree. Kleeman USA does not have a 4 wheel dyno and from what I have had on previous cars they pull, open/drill and flash. The add on module is appealing to me but I am not going to play guineu pig. An additional spend does not bother me, I want to tune, lower and swap exhaust as soon as available but would rather be right than fast. Well. Fast at buying the tune anyway

Really? I got an email from them three weeks ago saying that the tune for the 450 was the same tune from the 400 because it was the same 276 turbo engine. Person made it sound like 450 engine was almost maxed out by amg. So essentially we'd be paying same amount for less change compared to a 400 owner.

Does anyone have a feedback on the Black Fresne (ash) insert? NOt sure about its name in english but it is the only non shining insert/ decoration inside the C450.

Initially I wanted the Carbon insert but testing it i found out that the touch is a bit cheap (too light) and it kept finger marks...

I don't like finger prints either. So I tested all the surfaces at the dealer. Natural black ash wood was the only surface that did not keep finger prints. It's a natural wood surface that is smooth but has some texture to it in the form of a design. It's hard to explain. You would have to go to the dealer to look at a car that has that option. Carbon to me was annoying because of the finger print. Also the default option black material had the same problem.

Looks great, especially with the red leather. See picture of my car's interior on p. 34. Like it much better than the linden wood trim on my traded C400

Thanks Guys !!
@awz I had a look at your car interior, very nice with red leather.
I can't understand why the carbon interior is so expensive, I'm sure it is just carbon like plastic and nothing to do with real carbon.
Anyway happy to find that the (IMO) best interior insert is one of the cheapest

Tuning Options

I like the idea of formulating a list of tuning options thus far for the car: Perhaps anyone who has dealt with any of the vendors listed below can share their experiences...Ideally, we should include price and performance gains from the tunes

AMR
OE Tuning
Renntech
Brabus?
Burger Tuning
Kleemann
Vivid Racing

*Note, you don't have to have your C450 tuned in order to comment, any insight would be appreciated, so if you have had other cars tuned by anyone listed above please share!

I have the dark ash and black leather with white stitching. It is a great look and unlike the piano black, with the ash the side door inserts on front and rear doors are also black (which makes the round speakers really pop). Only had it for 2 weeks, but no smudging and, so far, no scratches. Worried that a real scratch will look terrible, though, given it is real wood and not coated with plastic, particularly if the stain does not go really deep. Nothing a sharpie can't fix, I guess, but hoping it doesn't come to that.

Indeed it would be more fragile than plastified carbon or piano. thanks for the info
I'm going for a config with derk grey exterior, Black leather seat with red stitching, AMG wheel (with red 12 o' clock), Ash wood insert, Sound system, dark windows, 19' wheels multi branch, technology package (wide screen, 5 atmosphere colors, key less access), Panoramic roof, memory & heated front seats, remote online

It would look like below :

Ash Wood

Personally, I like the Ash Wood trim the best. It adds luxury to the car's interior. I also think it's not as fragile as the Piano Black trim, which will immediately show even minor scratches and of course finger prints.
I'm also not a huge fan of red stitching and seatbelts, unless if you're going with the cranberry leather. But if you're going with black, it's not consistent with the white stitching of the steering wheel and while trying to add a sporty touch, I much more prefer black leather with white stitching and black belts.

Window / Lights Tint

Is anyone tinting windows and/or lights? What %?

Has anyone considered tint colors other than black, like light blue or maybe yellow?

Both seats and wheel have red stitching on black leather. So I find the red seatbelt a nice mix in a dark exterior / interior car. Subjective obviously a matter of taste.

Anyone here has a dark grey exterior ?

Its definitely carbon fiber, but it has a gloss like material on top of it probably to prevent scratching if that is possible.

I don't know if they have the black leather with white stitching (rather than red) in the US, but it's what I have up here in the Great White North and I love it. IMO I am looking for a luxury car with sports features in terms of overall vibe, and the white stitching makes the entire black interior look super classy where the red stitching is a bit too racy for my tastes and doesn't pop as much.

having said that, the interior is awesome with pretty much any material, stitch colour trim, so whatever speaks to you is the way to go.
