No doubt... That should be worth the price of admission.

You'll have to let us know how that plays out.

If the surround view is going to be January (meaning most likely a late January early February delivery), I am thinking that I will most likely bag it. I love the option, but I don't really feel like waiting 3 extra months.
The 360 camera does look cool. With my GLK I missed-out on the rearview camera by a few months and now I will miss-out on the 360 camera by a few months. It looks very cool but my sales rep indicated that it is not that necessary for a C-Class just the bigger cars like the GL-Class and the S-Class. Perhaps I will get it with my next MB.

So far no builds posted with the designo diamond white ... so I cannot help you with this one. Maybe someone else can chime in if they considered this paint option.

Likewise

Just ordered my 450 a few days ago. Salesman says it will be built in 'the third decade' of September for a late October delivery. Options include Driver's Assist, Leather, Parktronic, and Multimedia. White over black. Very excited to be moving up to the Merc.

Very nice!

I can't wait to see one in person. He didn't say anything about when he expects to see one in the showroom?

1st Look

Thanks! He wasn't sure himself. All he's been told is September. I've been haunting Youtube (as well as here) but all I see there is static shots from the Detroit Auto Show and the same looks at the unveil in Portugal. Just have to wait.

I just finalized my order and price for my 2016 C450 AMG today at the Mercedes Benz of Fort Washington in Pennsylvania. From what I am told, I am the first pre-order for the C450 on the east coast as I have placed this order in end of May, before any pricing was released. Pricing was finally released this past week and I went in to finalize the specs and options of my c450.

I ordered a Polar White with Sport Cranberry Red Interior with Linden Wood trim
-Panorama sunroof
-Full LED and bi-Xenon Lighting package
-Rearview Camera

Pricing are as follows:
Base 50800
Leather interior package 2480
Lighting package 800
rearview camera 460
panorama roof 1480
Destination charge 925
Total 56945

I was able to receive $3000 off plus wheel locks and all weather MB weathertechs thrown in as freebies.

Car wont be ready until 3rd-4th week of August and Im sure I won't see it until after Labor Day but boy! AM I EXCITED!! Hope this thread helps!

Oh and I am spec'ed to have the 5 spoke AMG wheels 18'' BLACK. not sure which ones they are, if anyone can help me shed some light on that, much appreciated!!
We'll have to wait for tmoney's update

The 340i gives the false impression that you're going to drive a 380hp engine, which your not, just BMWs way of pulling in the potential poser mkt. They are notorious for weird naming schemes like M3 vs M4...

Last I heard that my ordered vehicle will be delivered to the dealer in early September in time for the official launch. After the launch they will release the vehicles for purchase.

I am expecting the car before Labor Day being that I had a deposit on the car on 1/1215 with the official word announced at the North American International Auto show.

The first 1000 miles are going to be difficult being that you are not supposed to exceed 55 mph to break the engine in. It sounds like tmoney or myself will be the first ones out of the gate.

55 mph for first 1000 miles is old school and not required for these modern cars. Sure, you might not want to drive it from the dealership straight to the racetrack, but you can drive your car normally from day one.

Break in

I was looking at one of the online C400 manuals from MB and it said the breakin was 500 miles. Maybe I read that wrong? A thousand mile break in sounds extreme to me.

Just drive normally. Watch the temperature. Only if it rises above normal back off as this would indicate a tight engine. Avoid constant throttle for long periods. Do not lug the engine. Do not use peak performance & revs for approx 500 miles after which shorts bursts at peak throttle are desireable.

Don't over baby the engine. Alusil bore with MOS2 coated rings make these units quite hard to beak in. Do not change the run in oil early.

Enjoy!

Break in

Thanks for the clarification on breaking in. I am not familiar with the term "lug the engine." Go too slow in a higher gear?

Yes, Low RPM high torque ~ Go too slow in a higher gear!! Let the engine rev freely without stress!

It is a floor model so I did not have muchchoice for options; it was either this one or wait until Jan 2016 delivery, wasnot really an option for me. It comes with the parking package, safety package, full LED, electric mirrors, obsidian black metallic and upgraded entertainment.

Very nice ride, Palmer. I don't think we'll get a shot at an Estate model here. If I still had little ones that would be at the top of my list!

That does look awesome!

I am actually kind of glad that they don't sell the C450 Estate here in the U.S., it would make the decision that much harder.
