Are you guys wrapping your hood? Putting on sealants?
Just wondering if you guys are putting wraps on your cars like xpel (and which one)? Same with the headlights? Or are you getting chemical sealants applied like opticoat? For now I've just gotten a triple wax but am wondering if I should be more preventative....Thoughts? I get it if you're buying a c63, but a standard C-300?
I did Xpel on front bumper front of hood and fenders, mirrors, door edges and door handle cups and luggage area. I then had entire car Opticoated. I'm really happy with the Opti as I can usually just rinse the car and get rid of most dust/dirt. Brake dust also comes right off. I plan to own the car for 6 or 7 years so thought I would invest a little $ in paint protection.
Nothing and don't care as the standard finish will last and look great for the time that I own my cars. I would rather spent my money elsewhere like reliability/maintenance than looks. For information, I usually keep my cars for at least 6-8 years, longest was 14 years with over 250K mi.
I don't think these kinds of treatments are worthwhile unless you have like an $100k car to be honest.
Just periodic car wash and details will keep it looking good. I had a Toyota Camry for almost 6 years and it still looked like new when I traded it in.
Gotcha. I was planning on just sticking with detailing and car washes every few weeks. My prior car was a gs300 that I owned for 15 years and the pitting was fairly minimal. To be fair in 15 years I only had 130K miles and it was my primary car. The C300 is primarily my commuter car on local roads and I drive 10 miles a day.
I had the whole car protected with Ceramic Pro and I'm really glad with the product. Everything rinse off easily and the clear looks cleaner for a longer period of time.

I don't have a W205, but just did the same with an equally costly model from the other guys. Xpel on all front fascia, head/fog lamps, half-hood and front fenders, and mirror caps. $1100. It goes for OptiCoat Pro next week. This past week, I had new and not-yet-installed wheels OCP coated as well. They go on next week. The Xpel installer told me he had discussed OCP with the Xpel company and they are completely comfortable with OCP going over the film. Xpel is excellent film and considered superior to current 3M offerings. I often lose sight of the edge line when washing the car, it is so thin and colorless. I have to change my line of sight to pick it up again!
This photo was the day the BMW replaced the MB....zoom in and see if you can find the edge halfway across the fender!
Hint: The edge is just forward of the caliper.

To each their own or different strokes for different folks!
