Smile UK C300 Hybrid - Took Delivery Last Week!

So I finally picked her up on Friday 6th March after a long wait since October. Have to say I'm really pleased with it, stunning looking car and no regrets whatsoever in going with Diamond White after umming and ahhing between that and Polar.

Managed to put over 1200miles on her in just over a week so have started to have some more fun in it too

Here's some pics of her on the dealer forecourt when I picked it up and some in the woods..

Nice. I'm about to order a white estate hybrid - what real world mpg are you seeing?

About 55mpg at the moment. I'm hoping this will increase as the engine starts to loosen up though.

Still not too shabby though. This car is a no-brainer for company car drivers in the UK

C350e is even better if your budget extends that far. Just 5% BIK

Very nice mate - seriously considered, but the budget wouldn't quite reach.

Is 19 miles realistic on battery only? my work commute is about 15 miles in which i very rarely get above 50 mph with the traffic. Might be worth considering for me.

Mine was built in Bremen, Germany and took around 2 1/2 weeks to arrive. From what I'm told SA builds take around 6 weeks due to having to catch various trains/ferrys. There are obviously more customs checks etc too.

There is no electric only mode with this unfortunately! It can stay on the battery upto about 20mph when setting off, then when you are at cruising speed, depending on the incline it will turn of the combustion engine and cruise on the battery.

Sounds like the C350e may be a better option for you?

Thanks for letting me know that, I thought they both had the same range. Would have preferred the C300 as it comes in AMG line spec.

did you go for the airmatic? and are they run flats?

I've ordered the same car in the UK .... But worried that as the hybrid is heavier than the standard car and I've gone for the amg line with run flats it will ride too hard. What are your thoughts?

Ordered an estate C300 hybrid about a month ago, del date is July...can't wait.

How do you find the pick up with the electric engine? Any delay?

Also what does it say across the back? Is it "C300 Plugin Hybrid"?

I test drove a C300 hybrid with 19's and sports suspension and it was pretty hard, hence I ordered airmatic on mine which is the best of both worlds.

On mine the electric motor eliminates the bit of delay that the standard diesel has and also makes the annoying stop/start far more bearable.

And it does indeed say C300 on the left and Plugin Hybrid on the right!

Yes clearly the hybrid not the plug in electric!

Beautiful car in blue - looks geogeous! But that's an awful lot of chrome writing on the back - 18 letters to designate a model ..... I'm thinking I might remove the bluetec hybrid on mine when it finally arrives.

I think it says "Bluetec Hybrid"

Why does MB always try to put complete novels on the rear?
