That when you activate the windscreen washer the air recirculation automatically activates (doesn't light up though). My guess is to stop the smell of the washer fluid entering the car.
It's more noticeable if the fan speed is set quite high.

Hi, on the olden days, MB cars such as the W124, one side mirror is bigger than the other probably due to mechanism for adjusting the angle of the mirror.
So I asked this question to my product trainer (by the way I work for a dealership in Malaysia) and the reason given is to pay homage to the olden cars, to invoke heritage and so on. The actual reason I guess might be to place the GPS receiver, phone antenna etc in the bigger one. Hope this helps!

With Keyless Go, you can open/close the windows & sunroof using the door handle with you key in your pocket. Hold the unlock on the back of the door handle to open them & hold the lock button on the front of the handle to close them.

For MY 2016 at least you had to buy the stand-alone power trunk option ($250). That got you the automatic open/close and the hands-free opener.
Here's how it works:
1)Approach the car's trunk with two arms full of groceries.
2)Flail your foot around the underside of the bumper pointlessly for several seconds.
3)Fumble around in your pocket for the key.

^ plus..
4) Reach into trunk to place groceries
5) Accidentally step too far under the rear bumper
6) Get slogged in back of head by auto-closing boot lid.

I actually ordered the car and waved off the power trunk option because I didn't need the hands free, but I wanted the power trunk. I've had it in my past 3 cars and it's kind of handy to be able to open and close the trunk from the driver's seat, or to close it with the button on the deck lid when your hands are full. For $250 I was ok with it.

When I first got it it only responded 30% of the time. Had it fixed under warranty.
I use it every day when I have my work bag in one hand and gym bag in the other. A long swipe under the car works better than a kick.

I found the internet in the merc is a joke. Not worth pursue. However, all you need to do is to Bluetooth link up your mobile. Then on your iPhone, turn on personal hotspot to share your data. Then on your car, go to the telephone function, pick internet from the top menu. The rest of it is to painfully type google.co.uk to access a simple webpage, or wait forever to get your local weather. Much better off use the app on your phone.

Is there anyway to connect the Benz to a wifi network? I notice that the method you suggested uses Bluetooth tethering and that isn't an option my phone allows. (long story, work phone and blocked by work but I have a wifi hotspot device)

Hi,
I'm not aware of allowing the w205 connecting to another Wi-Fi hot-spot.
Just another thought if your work has disabled Wi-Fi tethering.
Connect your device via USB cable to access internet.
what device do you have?

Right. That rules out my phone.
Wife can do it - weird but for some reason her S6 doesn't offer Bluetooth tethering as an option. Although if you google it, it should be an option.
Thanks!

Manual Gearshifts - C450
I just discovered yesterday that if you are in manual mode and upshift to 2nd while stopped, automatic downshifting will then stop at 2nd instead of 1st for the rest of the drive.

Mercedes transmissions are designed to start from stop in second gear if you are in Econ or comfort mode. They will start from first gear in sport and sport plus.
