I think the poll will skew (heavily) into MB given the site.
Perhaps I good way to begin the discussion would be in telling us what features are most important to you and responders providing comment on the vehicle we believe would best match your needs?

I don't know anything about the Lexus or Hyundai but I would steer away from the C300 until MB gets onboard with the wind noise issue that many owners are experiencing. Once they acknowledge the issue and begin working on a fix I would certainly rank the C300 near or at the top of your shopping list. It is a really exceptional vehicle except for the cabin noise.

I can't comment on the GS350 but based on my ownership of the GS 300, I'm done with Lexus. Hyundai I have no experience with. So far totally happy with the C300.

I can't understand why anyone would compare a Hyundai with these cars. I sat in a Genesis at a car show, and I was like, unless I'm totally incapacitated, I wouldn't shell out even 20k for this. And here they are, asking for 50k+. I just can't understand anyone would do that, except for those patriotic Koreans.

Despite the obvious that you're on a Mercedes forum. My take:
* The Genesis has potential with the Korean mindset of build, it's just not an original design, and cheapens out on many of the VERY obvious small touches in the car.
* The Lexus is the most ironed out, if you haven't driven this years version, you should. Less panache or feeling of luxury than the C300, yes. Every Lexus GS looks the same on the lot--in good way. Quality control, fit and finish is enviable. Mercedes doesn't hold a candle to this. Makes it the 'best buy' in my mind. I'd like it more if it was a bit more compliant in the suspension. They tried to make it a bit too 'sporty", and car manufactures take that to mean "feel all expansion joints in the road".
* As well discussed, C300, great design, out of the 3 it's sex on wheels. Not so well executed by the time they leave the factory and about as bad of backing from a company (MBUSA) as you can get. They "Depend on their trusted dealers" (who say MBUSA tells them otherwise).

You have to realize hyundai is more luxury(comfort) and the C400 would be luxury(sport). I kinda fell out of love with the GS ...
If i was price conscious, looking for comfort ride, hands down Genesis.
base Genesis =$38k (MSRP)
-NAVI w/traffic
-keyless go(smart key)
-considerably larger cabin
-real leather(not vinyl)
-FULL LED Tail lamp
if price was not an issue, and size didn't matter, C400. the bi-turbo engine is pretty nice along with nice suspension setup for more sporty ride. realize though it is much smaller vehicle.

People don't just buy a car based on what it has. There's also brand recognition, reputation, etc. Some, especially businessmen, buy Mercedes or BMW because of the stasus it gives. When was the last time you see a real estate agent pull up in a Huyndai?
