Thinking of C300 - current 3 series
My wife's lease is up next month and we are car shopping, we have not considered the C300, but recently I found out there are heavy discounts on the C300 or class.
Can someone share some information as to what kinds of discounts are available, i read about fleet discounts, can anyone get those?
Do you just go to the dealership and say I want $10,000 off or something?
Any must have options?

Hey there,
I just made a thread this morning about this for the UK. Personally when dealing with any dealerships you need to be able to control the pace of a sale. I would go online get some quotes and check some online brokers and see what discount u can get. Also be sure u know what you want and that your 100% going to get that vehicle. Let them know your looking for a quote first!
At least then the sales advisor cannot control or take advantage. Then from there just haggle! I do reckon you will get some good online discounts. Over here in the UK some online brokers were offering roughly $12,000 off a new C class!!! I doubt a dealership can match it but always try!

I would 100% get the sport package, mainly because if you don't you will have a white/light grey headliner and strangely also the rear deck...looks bad take it from me mine is this way.

So is the sports package is all I need? I am new to MB and don't know how they bundle things,
which would be the most important options, and which can be let go as they are not so important.

So, I was talking to a sales guy yesterday and he said there is no heated steering wheel option, is this true? why would MB leave out a heated steering wheel option.
Also, which option to get to get the apple car play?

There is no option for Apple CarPlay as it has not yet been offered by any German automaker including Mercedes.

Well that sucks that they left the heated steering out. Is the ambient lighting a stand alone package or part of an option? I need help, can someone help me with which options to choose.
I don't really care about the keyless entry (premium pckg) or the multimedia pckg.
I need heated seats, led lights, ambient lights, back up camera and blind spot assist.
Am I missing any good options? I have seen pics with black roof, is that a panoramic roof packg?

Yes, you are right... you can get great deal on the C-class. I think I got $7k off (I cant find my paperwork!). I went directly to the dealership, & got a smokin' deal. My car has it all: retractable sunroof, rear view camera, upgraded sound system, etc...
I didn't put any $$ down! My lease is $580 a month.
Basically, I went to dealership last day of month & was looking for a GLA (looking to downgrade from my SLK). My sales guy said he could get me a better deal on a C300.

You are welcome tin369! Thanks for watching... Im glad to know that you got similar deal. I considered a BMW i3, because I wanted more seats (compared to SLK), but I just couldn't get my lease payment down. I am locked into the Mercedes system, or like they call "family". I think this help negotiating.

I considered a loaded-up BMW 328i xDrive, but It was like pulling teeth just to get 7% off sticker. I got a better deal on my ordered 2015 C300, 13% off sticker, plus more money for my trade.
Yes the lack of a heated steering wheel in the C300 is a bummer, but the C300 has ventilated seats where the BMW does not.

Ya, I was surprised BMW sales guy in my area was not as motivated to sell. Maybe that was his selling style. He was just matter of fact, take it or leave it. He also said that for older models in inventory, I'm talking 2014 (older?)... that his dealership is doing away with the revered maintenance program-- which was weird.

Yeah, I looked at the BMW as well and they were not really giving any kind of discounts, really was frustrating, whereas the MB was easy to negotiate.
Will be interesting to see how many C300 they sell. The interior is much nicer than the 3 series, and the ride is up there with the 3 series as well.

1) Brand new Mercedes Benz dealership in Burlington, MA - attempting to establish market share in the area.
2) Mecedes Benz in general attempting to increase sales of their vehicles.
In my area, most of the Mercedes you see on the road are 2 years or older...mostly older C300's and E Class, along with older SUV's.
I see A LOT more newer BMW 3 Series & X3/X5's and Audi A4/A6's along with Q5's.

Since I did not take the multi media package, I was annoyed to find out that the voice button the steering is useless. I am wondering if I connect my iPhone with the cable and the press that button and say Hey Siri will it work. I haven't tested it out, the speed dial function is useless since there is not voice control for me, and there are no physical buttons to press to quickly call someone.
The delivery specialist was pretty useless, I knew more than she did.
