THIEF!! Guess what happened...
This morning I pulled into the gas station and met another C300 car owner! Beautiful black on black -- executive looking car!!
Last night someone broke into his car and stole NOTHING. Idiot thief was trying to take the Navigation display perched-up in plain site. Why? Why? Why did the Mercedes designers not design a retractable display?
This is my biggest nightmare. And I have a feeling this will not be the only complaint from 2015 C-Class drivers. Unreal; he was so bummed.
Finally, if any of you are considering this model-- check out my 1st car review. Please "Like/Subscribe" me too! [Link:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-kNqglR26mY]

I think the thief was an idiot. How did he get into the car? If the story was true, and it sounds a bit sketchy to me, it was likely the car was left unlocked.

I think it's appropriate to use the saying, "This is why we can't have nice things!"
I wished they designed it to be able to retract in the dashboard like the Audi A3/A6.

Im SORRY-- please dont kick me off
SO. SO. So Sorry for flooding message boards with my video. This may not be the right forum to promote my work-in-progress channel. Keep in mind…I am just a little gal in this big car world, infiltrated by massive franchised brands.
Sorry again.
Always learning. Take care.

woah! that's another case... That was the first thing that I thought when I saw it... well, the second thing, first being that it looks a bit ugly stuck on the front.
Should probably get a cover for the display , when parked.

Merc400 look at it this way if your Nav gets stolen it would improve the look of your dash without that ugly thing sticking out.

Here in Europe, the Comand Online unit and display were stolen on my B-class a few months ago. Apparently there are lithuanian thieves who go around "shopping" in other European countries, then sell them on eBay.
Local police told me they need less than 2 minutes to go away with the comand and display. There were already hundreds of cases in the last year in my area, which is probably one of the safest place in Belgium.
Repair was all paid by my insurance (around 9,000 USD).

Yep. These roaming thieves are the worst. Here in Norway they used to break into houses while the owners were asleep and steal the keys and drive the cars to Serbia, Poland, Lithuania etc.
it was so bad the police issued a statement urging everybody to not hide the keys. Let them be visible by the entrance so the thieves can leave qickly as to not create dangerous situations.
But they had a big operation together with the police of the thieve's country of origins. Now you hardly hear about these situations.
It probably also helped when they brokered deals with the Lithuanian/Serbian/polish police that anybody caught here in Norway will be deported to their own country and has to do time there, where probably human rights are not the top priority in a prison.

I have to admit... I laughed when you said the thief tried to steal the display. It reminded me of this review. Go to 6:27:
I remember thinking "Pssh... that's a bit of a stretch!" when he said that, but I guess it's definitely true. lol
