Connect Me

Picked up my new C-Class y'day. Lovely car - really happy and dealership very helpful plus a little bit of fanfair etc which was lovely.
I'm trying to get Connect Me to work. It doesn't recognise the car's location and I can't find the remote heating controls anywhere. Can anyone help? Do I need to switch something on in the car? Would ask the dealer but thought I'd be likely to get a more comprehensive answer here. I've tried to attach some pics for the interested.

Thank you.

You need to register and then call the dealer and get activated.

I don't think remote heater works though does it? Think it only works if you have some kind of auxirialy heater.

My connect me doesn't work - something to do with com port and needs a another trip to the dealer.

I've got the dealer to activate.

That would be a real shame about the heater. Best feature IMO

Then you need to go on the app and apply the services you want to use.

Go on the Mercedes me portal and then click on manage services.

You can always call Mercedes me and they can help. I find them much better than dealers

I had lots of confused moments with connect me. It's really not ready with bad portals and unusable features. It's more of a toy than useful presently imho. No option to send Nav addresses from the app etc just info on the car and remote locking. The aux heater requires a hybrid car plugged into electric at the time. You can't heat a car without power of course and therefore petrol or diesel cars don't have that option at all. Fairly obvious really. I'm hopeful they'll add more services in time as it's a bit pointless at the moment. Bmw services like this have been around for many years and are far more useful and polished. Concierge service for example.

Nice car Rob! I've got the c250 saloon version on order with a due date of July 'sometime'

So what are the actual current benefits of connect me? Are there any?

Thanks Pasty.
Nothing I've found so far. I thought the aux heat might come off the battery.
Mine came a month early so fingers crossed you get yours fairly soon.
What options dos you get?

The Auxilliary Heating is only available with the Hybrid versions in UK.

I may be wrong but I thought I read somewhere that it was also available with the 3 zone climate (not in UK). You can also get an Aux Heater option in other, colder, markets.

I got pretty much everything except separate temp control in the rear / 360 degrees parking camera / ventilated seats

I already managed to get mine pushed forward to July from September due to some inside help. I am praying that it comes in time for summer holidays so I can drive back to the UK!

Enjoy your car. Post some outside pics when you get a chance
