So the ever posted topic of changing the center console in the US from Piano Black to Ash Wood with a Clock is almost done. The only thing missing right now is the functioning clock, the dealer is doing the research right now and once the (custom)harness is ordered and in, the car will go back for install and coding.

Looks awesome! I'm thinking about doing the same. Any luck or updates with getting the clock to work?
I also have illumination around the console. I think I read somewhere in another post that the illumination panels clip off and can be clipped on to the new console. Did you have to do that with your console?
The clock isn't really a clock in the traditional sense anyway. It's more of an analog representation of the digital clock in the dash that is synced by a GPS signal. The IWC decoration on the clock face does look nice though. Is it a sapphire crystal at least? At that price probably not...probably just hard coated plastic.
Analog Clock is optional in wood trims after MY2016 in Europe. It makes it lot easier and cheaper without the clock. Because you need to buy the clock and the switch unit that costs around €500 ($560). If you want to get the clock, that's another story
I'm new to the forum and recently purchased a C300 with the interior package ( ambient lighting). It also has the piano black finish and I would like to replace it with the open pore wood finish. Would this part number from the GLC fit my car or is the console different because of the ambient lighting? If a different part number, would someone be able to provide that number, please?
